Hey guys,
Thanks for your encouraging replies, everyone!
@Mad 'At I wish I could take credit for the painting, but while I chose the colour layout and design, the painting skills are not my own. They belong to Jack of Rothand Studio. He has since moved on from the hobby. While I'm...
Here are a couple projects I'm currently working on:
- 4/5 Vampire Knights
- 3 undead pegasi ridden by vampire ladies
The 3 ladies of the Count's court are nothing too original, but I have tried to tie them together with something a little more sinister, maybe even Lhamia-esque by givinig them...
Thanks, Borgnine :)
I agree about converting. However, I know people have many different feelings about people not painting their own stuff. One of my own friends thinks is very patriotic and thinks I should at least be having people from here paint my stuff instead of sending it to Poland...
OMG thank you, Borgnine! That's been driving me crazy for like a week!
Now I can get on with shamelessly copying his conversion for my undead warband :p
Found one!
And here was my inspiration for the unit:
Sadly, I didnt put in all the effort to have the same level of 'old' look where this model has a rusty old sword. Many of my guys do have torn and tattered old uniforms though :)
Thought I'd add another one.
At some point I decided that my army was going to have an undead empire theme. This was my first attempt at really trying to Empire-up my VC:
They're mostly a kitbash of the GW kits for skeletons and greatswords, with some greenstuff wrapped around the hips and...
Too bad I don't really paint anymore. However, I do love converting and finally thought I'd ask if people don't mind a clog instead? Mostly I've just shamelessly stolen ideas from others around the internet, but sometimes put my own twist on things, or else made up something myself...
Hey guys, this is driving me nuts, and I could use some help.
I've had a Mortis Engine kit for a couple years and keep clipping bits off of it, including the necro. I decided to use him to make a vampire conversion, but cant find his right hand. So I looked over my sprue and in my bitz boxes...
So I bought the bone demon to try the wings, and they're too small :(
I've been asking around if anyone has an unbuilt Morghast for me to model the wings against, as after the bone demon purchase, and another purchase for a Malifaux conversion that didn't scale well, I'm hesitant to buy...
Well, yes. But they work for me because I hold them back and they threaten more than they actually commit. I usually place them across from an enemy block and stand there, lol.
I feel like they can actually hold up in combat on their own against some things.
Wow! I haven't finished reading, but this is looking like a great project!
It's very striking to note that you enhanced wounds x6 (and ogre-sized models are only double others). I always found part of the hilarity and grim reality of Mord was that on any given day, anything can happen.
