The first set of mini's I'm posting I actually painted a while ago, however I'm almost done the skeleton unit I've been working on.
I'll start off with my almost complete first vamp. She was great to paint. I just need to add some basing and dirty up the bottom of her dress. She isn't my...
Well, here it is. Feel free to skip the boring blahblah and get to the pictures!

My brother started the hobby when he was little. He let me paint a space marine, I thought it was awesome fun but the whole 40k thing never appealed. Then fast forward 7+ years and my boyfriend...
I saw this guy in person at Games Day and the detail is much more impressive in person. The main body is some where in between a tennis ball and a softball. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but that paint job does not do it justice at all.
I think making the model the "king of squigs" with a...
When I read Bloodborn I took what they said to mean that both "Parent" vampires got to munching on the "Child" human and then both gave the human their blood. That was just my interpretation. It does leave it sort of open ended as to how many parents a get could have but then again wouldn't it...
I haven't gotten the Von Carstein upgrades but my boyfriends banners of rage and blasted standards were decent looking. My other finecast stuff, female vampire lord has an issue with her neck thingy. My vargulf had problems all over. I bought an Ur-Ghul (to convert to a strigoi...) and it was...

Yep for these kinds of sprays and spray paints and just about anything else such as that you should be wearing a respirator of some sort. Not to mention resin. Its dust particles like to settle in our lungs and slowly choke us to death, although I have been assured that GW fine cast is...
xD
I find that certain varnishes/lacquers lift paint away as well. As I was cackling, and putting the finishing touches on my zombies (glowing eyes) I realized that the clear varnish lift away the painted "glow" I had going on.
You have to really watch the ingredients in anything you...
I know of some good varnishes from my er, other hobbies. They are used on resin dolls that mainly have been painted with acrylics, sometimes water color paints or pastels. Its good stuff that can last for years and can take some abuse.
