Looking good with the Zombies! Can you do a closeup of the Terrorgheist (?) in the background? It looks kinda awkward in the shot.

EDIT:
I ABSOLUTELY love the Greatsword Zombie in the 2nd shot, great work!

Corpse Cart, 2x Mortis Engines, LvL 2 Vamps armed up with IoN and a SGK on Terrorgeist with Scabscrath.

Isn't Scabscrath dangerous because the frenzy could cause your SGK to charge into combat? That's the last thing you want.

You can mitigate this. For example if hes in a bunker unit behind another unit there is no eligible charge that he can complete therefore does not need to test.

Skabscraths frenzy is not as good as people make out.
All it would take is one round of combat to go bad if the vamp survives frenzy is lost.

Overpriced item in my oppinion. But each to their own

If it was my way i would lose the shreik ability, and give it +2 Strength instead. But thats cos im greedy :)

Oh, and I'm super jealous of all your zombie painting and modding. They look great. Where'd you get the various bodies? I recognize some of them from the GW set but not all of them.

Zombies are gw with many empire parts, representing an undead version of my main army; Talabheim Empire. Other zombies are made from Mantic, Reaper Bones, and assorted junk. There are ogres, trolls, most warhammer races....even a zombie horse.

Interesting. My thoughts on Skabscrath are virtually identical - I believe that it's combat enhancing effects are a little below pathetic, and I'd rather have a 75pt weapon that helps me kill things in combat - rather than a gimmicky scream. I'll save said gimmicky scream for when we're not limited to a single magic weapon.

The only way I differ is that I wouldn't want +2 strength - we already have ogre blade for that. I'd much rather Skabscrath was along the lines of the Chaos Sword - flaming, ignores armour, d3 wounds, makes models explode. ;)

Basically, I'd rather it was 75pts of stuff that really improve combat ability. :vampire3:

Couldnt agree more

Have you had a chance to field your 300 yet? If so how did they do? Very interested to see a battle report with this concept!

Did someone say 300 zombies? Try 350ish...

Started out with 8 units of 20. 1 Unholy Lodestone CC and 1 Mortis Engine and about 4 neheks per turn. Be prepared for a LLLLLOOOOOOOONNNNGGGGGGG magic phase as you roll, reroll then place out new models and start again...

The impressive bit of that picture is that they are all painted

Ha! I second that.! Insane! And not that many unit fillers either.. Wow.!

1 or 2 unit fillers tbh but generous ones. 40mm base with 2 zombies and 2 grave stones. Still looks nice an full but saves a bit of cash and a little time on setting up. I just wish the Mantic zombies had been around when I started the force. Ah well. They're all magnetized for easier deployment when Neheking. Before I managed to raise a unit of 100 at a GT final a few years back. A troll army charged into it with a big wet slap. Boy do I miss my weapon skill 7 ninja zombies though...

Ninja zombies... such a beautiful image. And I had completely forgotten the Helm!
