Put him near a large block of zombies and he will be hard to kill

The Gravelords release just looks spectacular. A true Vampire Counts revival. The skeletons look great, the zombies look good (even the ones carrying plots of land around on their back look ok mixed in with more upright ones that just have some roots sticking out), I love the new vampire lord, FINALLY NEW BLOOD KNIGHTS and they look really good too *especially* that banner wow, the new fell bats are maybe the biggest glow up in GW history, and while we've seen that new mounted wight king previewed already the more time passes the more I think it may be my favorite individual warhammer undead model ever. And with several months still to go before release, there may still be more we haven't even seen yet.

Stunning. Just, honestly, stunning stuff. I couldn't be happier.

Another new vampire, lorewise she's from Ulfenwatch as well which is kinda interesting since every new character only seems to be from there, Rat prince dude was as well. Wonder if there is any other new vampire models coming as a vampire knight character would be cool especially to lead some plastic blood dragons

she's cool, but feels a bit off stylistically. More so even than the rat prince, she feels less like a warhammer model and more like something from malifaux. That's not a complaint exactly, I still like her, but still.

You have a point here.

On a related note, it's interesting to see how much freedom the oval bases can give to these new models.
Back in times, with small square bases and rank & file formations, fitting in the unit certain heroes as Vlad von Carstein was a pain

So looks like they don't really want though fielding the undead characters in AOS much as you can't take any separate like the heroes having to take all for 680pts which really doesn't seem worth it, zombies and skeletons seem unchanged and pretty average but look more like they have to be utter from other units or spells auras to be decent

Was hoping Gorslav to be separate but main idea will probably be a unit of zombies or 2 with some corpse carts as a large anvil unit

Images removed because they show the full rules and stat lines of units, which breaches GW's copyright and IP -Iris.

Welp we getting a new edition which of course means new sigmarines this time heavy ones hooray not like there's plenty of other armies that deserve new models, should of done free cites as the order army for new edition and actually updated the model range.

Also mysterious enemies in the bogs, fenns and mists
Thats totally the Fmir Maybe they'll be the enemy that will be part of the new edition starter set

I mean, sigmarines are always going to be in the starter box. That was kind of the point of them. It is annoying, though I can't even be mad on behalf of other factions, GW's release rate has been pretty snappy of late, faster than even their own pipeline seems to be able to keep up with, and lots of factions have been getting some love. At least sigmarine releases seem concentrated at the start of editions, rather than taking up space over and over again like their 40k equivalents.

Honestly, if anything, I feel kind of bad for Stormcast players. Their rules are generally mediocre, and instead of ever seeing rules improvements to their existing units GW only ever seems interested in releasing new units that obsolete what came before.

Oh, well. Problems for other players. Vamp Counts are getting their own release wave this month, first stuff up on preorder the 15th.

...

As for 3e itself, we'll see. They didn't get rid of the double turn, which is the worst thing about AoS currently. We'll see if the other changes are for the better or not. At least it might provide an opportunity to rope in some new players.
