Be sure to use Testor's. The only dullcote I trust.

That is a lot of Squigs! Good purchase you scored. Like you said, would have cost a fortune in Finecrap. My only Finecrap model in my Chaos army is Scyla and I worry all the time that he'll melt if my car gets too hot.

Hahaha - i love fine cast (mostly)... had only a few issues that I was able to bend around with warm water. I really hate these pewter figures - already chipping - but what can you do? Can't argue with the price

Everything in here is looking great. Particularly love the squig horde and the troll vomit.

You can't go wrong with testors dullcoat spray as long as you avoid super hot and humid days. I spray my minis with testors glosscoat first and then two passes with dullcoat. Very durable with no shine.

My army will be all painted up soon, so we should have some pretty looking batreps ;-)

Chipping? You use primer before painting, no? And then the sealer should prevent chipping.

If you want a super sealer spray with a gloss coat finish and then go over with Dullcote. It is almost chip proof!

Had the urge to pick some of my ogres back up this weekend. Bought reaper paints to try - what a friggin' waste. Every one of the 6 I used cracked when it dried. Had to paint, then repaint the entire model's base coats (and some highlights). Done with reaper paints for good, I think.

Anyways, here's the progress so far.

Reapers have to be shaken really well and need to go on in fairly thin layers to prevent cracking.

And those forgeworld pieces are freaking amazing! If I drool on them may I have them? :tongue:

So less about painting and more about the hobby but i'm too giddy to not put it on the forum: my tableWar case came today:

Sure i filled it with stinky greenskins first, but the TG is so tall i'm worried it's going to remove an entire shelf - i mean, you can adjust the hight on them all, but functionally I think the TG is going to make me have to pull one out. Not sure yet tho. Anyways i'm loving this thing.

Now i just need to magnetize all my trays and individual models

Are the models magnetized?

if not how stable is the case. I would be afraid of my models being jostled too much. Curious as the case is awesome but am wondering on practicality.

So yeah i've magnetized the models to the trays and the trays to the metallic sheets that were then epoxy'd into the drawers. A lot of work, but ultimately nobody moves (without some really violent action). It's great for travel - just pull the whole tray out at a time and you're ready to rock.

As for work in the hobby: I've got a tournament coming up this weekend. FIrst one ever - i'm excited. It's gotten me rushing to finish painting all the O&G i've been putting off lately. Here's my WiP of my BO BSB:
