I made two pieces of terrain themed around this army. The first is a sacrificial altar. I made from a reaper bones 'Altar of Evil' and a spare base I got from a bits-kit that once belonged to a casket of souls.
The second one is a cheap halloween decoration turned into a pillar of bone. I took the reaper spirits off their base as they did not fit as well with my banshees as I had hoped. Instead, I placed them on the pillar as if they are being summoned by it.
Then there's my Varghulf. He took quite a while to convert and paint. He's made from a spare Abyssal Terror body that came without wings. I replaced the terror head with that of a dire wolf, removed the forearms and turned his legs the other way around. His wings come from a vargheist. I'm pretty happy with how he turned out: a twisted bat-like monstrosity that's clearly different from both abyssal terrors. His base is a painted up resin cast.
For my crypt horrors I took an idea from the excellent Orlaster and his gergeous
Custodians of Carceri. I call them my Cryptlords: giant bloated warrior kings of old, now mindlessly shambling forth over the battlefield to smash everything and everyone in their way. This is the first one I've finished painting. The others are mostly finished and ready to paint, and a few are still in the last stages of converting.
A few more Mordheim zombies then! I'm going to switch their bases eventually, but I still need to order one of those fancy GreenStuffWorld cobblestone rollers for that. The warband is a bit on hold for now.
This guy is painted in the colours of my boyfriends Empire army.
Meanwhile, this guy's one of my Bretonnians, dead and raised.
