Awesome vampire movies

[robtion]

@Zephyr: I saw Stakeland. Really liked it, kind of like The Road with vampires. Thanks for the recommendation.

[Melle]

well, on the kristin Stewart note:
seen 3 movies with her in(counting twilight saga as one) and in all she plays a sexually frustrated teen, beeing from too young(into the wild, great movie, despite her), too sick(ms or other muscle disease, I think it was) or the twilighttrashthingy....and the same face in all.....
anywho, on the vampire movie queue
I really liked dracula 2001 andthe series: kindred, although abit 90's
also a werewolf tip:blood and chocolate

[Infernal Skull]

I don't think anyone has mentioned Near Dark. It's a great flick from the 80's with "modern day" vampires living in a blacked-out trailer. If I recall, they never use the word "vampire" anywhere in the film.

It's also practically an Aliens cast reunion!

My other faves are Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust and, of course, Bram Stoker's Dracula.

[Zarovich]

I really liked the original 1985 Fright Night. The recent one with Colin Farrel is okay, but just not as thrilling as the original.

[Ben E. Violent]

Control+F - "Near Dark"

Not disappointed.

There's one called "prowl" that was pretty decent. It was on tv a few months back and I didn't know if it was a vamp or werewolf movie at the beginning. It had an air of mystery for the first 30 minutes that made you wonder what was going on.
The sequel to 30 Days of Night was alright. The end made me go, "Uhm, what?" Aside from that, it's worth a watch.
