Hmm I have heard of the liber necris but was told by my local GW it didn't exist... research this i shall

Also i have read
Nagash the sorcerer
A massacre in Marienberg ( Which i thought was awesome)
and am getting through Vampire wars ( Been hanging around the local GW a lot since I'm out of school now)

Nagash the sorcerer doesn't have any vamp's though (although his immortals are closish :P)
Havn't read A massacre in Marienberg, i'll have to try it.

And I think what your local store meant was that the liber necris is no longer in print which is true.

Amazon have them but they can be anywhere from £50 upwards, expensive enough.
Its good though, all about vampirism, necromancy and undeath wrote from Mannfred's P.O.V.

Cant wait to read the next one :mad2:
But you'll find out why soon enough

Question
Were the undead a big problem for the Skaven during the era of the black plague?

G I feel like the only one asking any question's...

Is it common for an army like Skaven or Greenskins to take up residence in a captured dwarf hold or simply move on to another place after they have taken it?

If they do move on, Would they loot everything or would there be literature or gems lying around the place
with No awesome magical weapons and armor inscribed with awesome runes of mood-color-changing any where in site.
(Both races/ anymore which would take up a residence or just leave with the loot)

Would these weapons be kept locked up?

Magic items would most likely be kept as trophies or actually used. Anything not seen as valuable would be destroyed immediately. Its a good bet that when Orcs, Goblins or Skaven move into a place they would strip it bare of anything valuable. So no gems unless you have some really lazy goblins lying around. Literature would probably be used as kindling, warmth or toilet paper depending on the raider's mood that day. These races don't tend to be into reading much, unless a particularly intrepid Shaman or Gray Seer wants to do some research, but even that is rare.
As for a Dwarf stronghold; those tend to be particularly difficult places to capture, so an Orc Warboss or a Skaven Warlord taking one would probably take up residence in it and see it as a source of great pride, using it as a staging point for further raids.

Sylvania was never one of the big Electoral provinces so the reigning count never had a Runefang.

Indeed, Otto was count of Sylvania but not an elector count.
I believe Sylvania was under the "rule" of one of the electors (although its unlikely they wanted anything to do with them)
I do not know which elector this would have been however, perhaps Stirland.

Yes he lives still.

A petty necromancer by the name of Schtillmann had been preparing to raise the vampire count back into unlife, however he needed a blood sacrafice as a component of the resurection.

Schtillman however was killed by Gotrek who cut him in two, the blood from his body spilled onto Mannfred's corpse, leading to his resurrection.

Sylvania is once again under Mannfred's control by the Storm of Chaos.

Do you mean around the time of Sigmar? After Sigmar died?

If you mean that I believe Bretonnia was a land of tribes, the greater tribes where ruled by powerful lords that built strongholds within their land.
Bretonnia was often attacked by greenskins and so the tribes would often ally to fight them although the tribes fought against each other regularly.

I think the first big incident after Sigmar's rise was in the year 100 (by the imperial calender) in which history states a fleet of undead attacked the land of Bretonnia.

1) Can an elf be made into a vampire?
2) Would a vampire EVER do anything considered to be 'good', if it served his interests?...

Thanks

The key bit in that statement is 'If it served his interests'.

Vampires are mostly by nature selfish individuals who do very little unless it benefits themselves in anyway. With a somewhat distorted moral compass, a vampire could do things that other races perceive as 'good' but it would be foolish to think that he/she does them for anything other than they're own interests.

And since the notion of 'good' and 'bad' is often applied from the Empire's point of view then it is possible for vampires to do both the right things for the wrong reasons and the wrongs things for the right reasons.

Does that make any sense?

1) No! Not according to established fluff at least. It is something about human and elven blood not being compatible with each other. Perhaps it would be possible with an entirely new elixir of life, but elves live for such a long time, so I doubt they'd bother.

2) I would say yes. Vampires are ultimately selfish, and they don't really care whether the morale police hails him as a hero or not as long as he reaches his goals. Naturally a selfish act is more often than not "evil" though. I can imagine a vampire fearing what might become of his reputation amongst other vampires if carrying out a "good" dead, so he'd likely chose the "evil" option if faced with the choice. And finally there are, though rare, good vampires in the warhammer world.

Just my 2$

Ok, thanks guys o.o I must admit, i do like the idea of a 'good' or 'neutral' vampire...

One of the fluff ideas i have for my guy is that he's seeking revenge against the vampire who brought him into undeath... silly i know... but ultimately, i reckon it would require some 'good' acts... to gain the trust of people & whatnot

That sounds fine. Just like parent and child don't get on sometimes, it is possible for the same to happend between sire and get, especially if they previously didn't like one another.

Would Bretonian's want mages to enchant there Horsies/My little ponies?

By other another nations mages? I'd say no..

They would, if necessary, have a Bretonnian Damsel or Prophetess of the Lady bless their horses and battle gear. But you have to remember that Bretonnians are master horsemen by nature, horse bred by them are strong and powerful anyway.

Right, Nippon is a land in Warhammer based on Japan

Q. Apart from that does anyone have anyother fluff related to the land?

I've seen various Cathay things but nothing about Nippon.
