Ghoulking was probably playing the character, Marcus.

Come on, there is enough impromptu role-playing on this forum - "welcome to this hallowed crypt newcomer!", "I was beaten this battle, but I shall rise from the grave to feast on the blood of the living next saturday!", "My mum dropped me off at the local GW, and the stink of the mortal cattle was overpowering to my refined undead senses!"

It borderlines between being quite charming to being rather pathetic, but by now you should know when someone is playing the role his chosen army dictates ;)

Now let's get on topic.

According to my quoted source from Warseer, it seems that some units have a chance not being in the list.

The following models are being withdrawn at the moment, which suggests that they might get resculpted or repackaged:
- Bestigor (and variants)
- Minotaurs
- Centigor
- Chaos Ogres
- Dragon Ogres
- Chaos Trolls
Note that these units might not all be appearing in the list

This is rather strange. I mean, removing Centigor and Minotaurs? Dragon Ogres and Chaos Trolls I can understand, but more beastmen can't a creature be, being a Centigor/Minotaur.

What do you think?

Battalion box cost £55 and contains:
-20 Gor
-10 Ungor
-10 Bestigor
It is worth noting that in the current prices that adds up to £54 and you're trading 2 Ungor for Gor. It is only a "saving" in the new prices because the Gor and Ungor get 67%(!) more expensive. This makes this the least cost-effective battalion in the entire history of battalion boxes.

Very bad Battalion composition in my mind. Lacks a lot in my opinion. Just some classic blocks of models. Makes me think that the prices per box in my quote are certainly overrated. This just looks wrong.

No I wasn't ranged weapons are for Nancy boys and the Jabbercock.......... well its a Jabbercock I like the Beastmen the Way they are no ranged weaponry and they got a giant they don't need any other big unite breaking monsters.

Guys, read.

I mean, removing Centigor and Minotaurs?

They're not. I've not read anything from Warseer myself, but from your own quote it says that the models are being withdrawn. Models, not units.

Just in the same way when our new book came out, the skeleton models were withdrawn to be replaced with new re-sculpted ones.

Besides, there's a Minotaur on the bloody book cover.

I am rather looking forward to the new Beastmen release, even though I will never have the time to build or paint any (hence my reluctance to post in painting forums on CN), the 'beast in the woods' image always appealed to me, & I think the army will benefit greatly from an emphasis on its own strengths, namely powerful characters, large monsters and great mobility, as opposed to how it is required to fit together as part of a larger Chaos warhost.

I have roughly 1000pts of Beasts which I'd be pretty keen to get back on the field with some new allies.
