I say Ice blue, have a inner witchfire glowing effect from the magic, green seems to fit undead so much better and I have a image in my head of various evil models and characters down the age with blue glowing eyes like the Lich King and Green for Nagash and the ilk.
Besides I think blue would set off against the cold theme very well.

The model looks great so far, It would look great with a cape though to really set off the regal image and give him more of a presence.

Thanks for the suggestion, turn out i decided to go with blue glowing eye because i dint want the eye to be too outstanding. Here is some update~

Not feeling very comfortable with the sword yet...is it because of the horn like thingy ? Or i should just cut it away and make a pure magical blade ? By the way i am looking forward to receive more Bitz from ebay to work on his cape

That is so sick! If you were talking about the little horns on the blade itself, they seem out of place, but I definitely like the horns with the eye on the hilt. Either way the model looks fantastic! Your NMM is so convincing! I wish I could paint like that :'(

I think the horns down the back of the blade don't suit it.
Then again I am not 1005 on the colour as well though I know it is a work in progess.

Hi Guys ~

Was away for 3 weeks long Holiday, here is some updates on my dark elf and slowly growing demon army.

Added some thinned down Kabalite green on the sword to play with the fourth color.(1st violet, 2nd magenta, 3rd gold, 4th green(jade)

Next is Nurgle unit with Herald, i will work on 4 different unit with herald base on the 4 gods of chaos, but all will be using the same base.

On the plaguebearers, I am glad you have avoided the usual green skin, but not sure about this yellow look. Time will tell. I do think that as you seem committed to the yellow, you might perhaps think about changing the plants/foliage. At the moment there is very little contrast. Unless, of course, that is what you want. Loving the slimy extras.

I actually really really like the foliage with the PB scheme. Just different enough from the models to stand out, while still fitting in and looking oddly otherworldly. And the bristly hair is a great addition!

The Dark elf heroes look fantastic, your NMM blends so well too, great job.
I am also really digging the sickly yellow on your plague bearers and herald. Definitely conveys grossness to me, which is really hard to accomplish with paints, I've found.

Hi All !!

Time for some update , today we will have Nurgle, Bloodletter, Dark Elf & High Elf to share with you.

Lets go with Nurgle first...

Completed 10 PB, considering to use Beast of Nurgle as filter or Nurglings.

Finally made a decision to save some money, so will use a OP zombie dragon as Beast of Nurgle to give the unit a "WTF" look.

Primed and painted with base color

Not complete yet but cant wait to see how the unit look like, so here you go~

Completed 2nd test model, not satisfy yet...going for 3rd test model.

Some great stuff in there! Your plaguebearer unit looks really characterful, the beast looks bang on. The 3rd test bloodletter is the one, I think. Not too bright, and the runes on the sword give the model that little bit extra. Great work.

Are you going to be applying the sticky blood effects from test model 2's base to the finished unit? Soooo looking forward to seeing a whol Daemon army done to this quality. Looking even better than last time! The Standard for the P.bearers looks so amazing! And Yeah 3rd B.letter is the one for this army! Runic sword is fantastic and the contrast with the horns really ties them together. Plus I like the light dusting you gave them. The other ones look a bit slimy for Letters..Great work!

Bigcannon, you are a god among men!! The banner is awesome as is, the freehand is so great that anything gimiky might cheapen it :/
and about you flames...I like them, but then again I don't. They add a bit of interesting charm, but take away from the fantastic work you did on the swords. Just like with the banner, I think they are already done at such a high level that you would have to sculpt greenstuff flames (like on your Phoenix king's sword) if you wanted the flames to take it to the next level. Otherwise, everything is so perfectly executed. I aspire to have a fraction of your skills, sir

The flame effect is cool, but would better on horrors IMO.

I definitely think I'd stay away from the flames/smoke thing. I love the blending on the swords, especially how golden it looks at the tip, but that smoke/fire effect really draws attention away from that, and also I feel like brings the colours more into a darker frame over-all. It also doesn't look quite as refined as the "Goo/Blood" or the "Hairy Pits" techniques; My suggestion would be that you do not apply the "Fire/Smoke" To them all, but if you could perhaps work in a unit-filler that somehow conveys the scorching feel that would be aided by smoke/fire do it do perhaps just that?

Thinking along the lines of like, a crater/nova with a beast-y in the center (Thrown to Earth by Khorn himself?) or perhaps something involving lava fall (Fountain? Pool?) with one coming out?

Or you could do that over-all, with a handful of them having the "Smoke" effect, walking out of a billow of smoke, and the effect used sparingly though out the unit, with possible unit fillers just being a large plume/falling daemons?

I can't even find a better video of it, but the Oppressors from Diablo 3 do something similar in Act 4 (If you're played);

I only picked that one because it's terribly short, and I don't know how to start a video in the middle of it, lol; But you can see two of them fly upwards in the back right of the screen (By that blue fountain) after the mage dies. Just that general "Sky-fall" kinda crash-landing feel.

Just some food for thought I guess. I know Bloodletters don't fly, and aren't known for falling from the sky, but I like the imagery. Plus it could be cool if you use the BL's in conjunction with that new Petro Glyph that warps in a unit, although I don't even know if you're intending to play an army.

The fire effect is great, but I think it could be lost when the unit doesn't stand in front of a black background..I don't know The swords are awesomeness in purity, I think they don't need to take the risk of the effect
