It's taking the thread off at a little tangent but still relevant. How are the hexwraiths at flank defence on a bus? I'm taking 5 as that's all I can fit in at 2000 points will that be enough?

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't dig the short bus.

I feel like I'm missing something here. Does the SoAH do something crazy? It only gives extra S and A for enemy characters in base contact with the bearer, right? (Not like allied characters/base contact with unit/...)
This also meaning in a challenge you would normally get +1/+1? Isn't the Ogre Blade still better then (with some exceptions against character spamming races like skaven/goblins)?
Oh, and sorry if this is a bit off-topic![]()
Larro said:I ran the bus under Comped guidelines of MAX 15 models including Characters, and ended up with 3 Vampires and 12 Knights, and it did just fine. I agree that 15 models total is the lower limit to effectiveness however.

Larro said:The goal is to smash in, use your Vamps to generate a ton of res, and to break their steadfast; running them 3-wide, i.e. no ranks, defeats the purpose of the Bus and will get you tied down and stuck in for a painful flank charge vs. the wrong opponents.
