I want to know how everyone calculates points. The way we're currently doing it is most likely very wrong.
At the end of someone's turn (like, after close combat results) after the dust has settled we look at all the models we had removed from the board and figure out how much they cost and write those points on a chalkboard we have in the room. We do that for both sides. Then we clear those back to the shelf they came from.
It keeps a running tally so we know if we should just call it quits in round 4 or something.
The reason I guess this is probably wrong is because with IoN and some other spells you put new people back on the board. The way we do it, if these get killed they are counted again. I think that's wrong?
How does everyone else do it to get around that issue?
The BRB doesn't say anywhere how or when to actually do point calculation.
