if the vampire is able to fly surely he would just fly over the river but if not just get his skelis to form bridge or another way of crossing the river. but if he can't fly and on his own I would say only if the river is blessed etc. if it was normal river no prob for them

I dont think vampires have any problems crossing running water unless its holy water of some kind. And like sunlight, when a vampire grows older and stronger he can resist it, the same with holy water I suppose...
