Quick questions!
I love Blood Knights. But as I understand they've taken a nerfbat to the face in the 8th edition?
Are they still viable and if so, can they be run with a Terrorgheists, which I've also fallen deeply for?

The answer to your first question is sort of. They're a bit cheaper and faster (Initiative-wise) than they were last time around, but Frenzied heavy cavalry at 50ppm is not exactly a safe investment, no matter how hard they hit. The reason why they're considered to be rather subpar ties in to the second answer...

Which is that Terrorgheists and Blood Knights compete for the same allowance (Rare), and that Terrorgheists are by and large considered the much better buy. They are too expensive to be fielded in tandem (unless you're forced to settle for a single TG, which is an easy way to guarantee its death, because it will get everything thrown at it).

Allright. Hmm. So fielding.. let's say two TG's instead of a unit of BK and a TG or one of either units would be prefered by most players? I've been out of it for a while, not familiar to the 8th edition rules yet.

Roger that. It's too bad, I wanted to field Vampires.. in my Vampire Count army. Won't be getting BK's then,
since they cost a small fortune in Finecast.

I really like this one :) well I like em all but this one was really good! I always wondered why you were so fond of the Steam Tanks and now I see it was because of points denial :D keep it up!

Yep, that's why I prefer Light over Life for my Wizard Lord. Shem's Burning Gaze and double Banishment see those Spirit Hosts off the table nicely.

Dear Johnny, a scream attack can only be used on your own turn right? I mean it takes place in the shooting phase so if I have a banshee in a unit of skellies I have to physically (ethereally?) hit back when its his turn?

Well I thought about it and I really want to scream back instead of hit back ^^ I was hoping maybe it was faqd somewhere so they did :p

Dear Johnny,

What would you put up against the following armies in a 1000p game?

Bretonnia
Warriors of Chaos
High Elves
Empire

The models I've got at my disposal:

39 Skeleton Warriors
20 Zombies
20 Dire Wolves
10 Hexwraiths
6 Crypt Horrors
2 Spirit Hosts
1 Vampire
(And 1 Necromancer which I'm painting tomorrow before the games)

I'm thinking one list to cope with shooty things and one for opening tin cans. I don't have that much to pick from, but we'll have to make do :konrad:

Played today, and ended up proxying my way to 2400 points facing his Empire army of shooting and magic destruction! One of my Doom Wolfs managed to single handedly run a cavalry unit off the table and kill a mortar though! :vampire2:

Thanks anyway :)

You may scream. That is done in the SHOOTING phase. Then you attack in the combat phase.
