Dear Johnny

[bigbadbat]

That's a tough break! You can only get one Hashut caster too unless you're playing 3k or more, which I never do.

[Johnny-Crass]

I might just fix some dice that only roll 4's

[bigbadbat]

Or double 6's...

[Yorga]

Good luck Johnny! I grew up in Antioch. My first real job was at that Fairgrounds where they host the tourney.

[rothgar13]

So, Johnny, have you gotten a chance to check out the new Daemons rumors? I think they're making a run at O&G for "most random WHFB army", though I think the greenies will still stay on top. I'm a bit disappointed in them, to be honest. How about you?

[Johnny-Crass]

ANy of you Misfire boys coming over to party hardy? Craig might murder me:tongue:

[Johnny-Crass]

I have seen alot and all I got to say is Khorne is no longer king. They fixxed the book and then made it super odd which is a different way to go.

[bigbadbat]

Dear Johnny,
Would you give CD Castellan a GW?
Mask I think is essential, but that leaves him at str 4.

[Johnny-Crass]

I like mine with a magic weapon

[bigbadbat]

Have you strayed from the mask? That leaves only 10 pts, meaning you're still striking at str 4.
Which do you prefer.

[Johnny-Crass]

Warrior bane mask and a shield every day of the week.

[Adam_Barrow]

Really cool Bad Dwarves, man.

[PrinceCharming]

is it always that sunny in california? i really need to move :') nice army ^^ friend of mine swears by bullcentaurs

[The Dread King]

O&G - 800 points

Core - 299 points
24 Savage Orcs, AHW's, Big 'Uns, Full Command [Shaman goes here]

Special - 346 points
2 x Goblin Wolf Chariot
18 Black Orcs, Banner of Eternal Flame, Musician, Standard-Bearer

Heroes - 155 points
Savage Orc Shaman, L2 Wizard, Lucky Shrunken Head [Lore of the Big Waaagh!]

Total: 800 points

Rothgar made this list some time ago. Is this pretty much the most comp list to get at 800pts for OnG, or would you go with something else?

Whilst manglers are cool, I don't have any at the moment, so I won't be able to use them.

[Johnny-Crass]

Nah in northern Cali it is not always that sunny. We had some heavy snow a few days ago oddly enough. And while I love Taruks I find Bull Centaurs tobe really overcosted for what they do

[PrinceCharming]

i have more rain than anything else here :') feels like scotland, just less sheep :')

he is testing them sunday at a tourny, wondering how he will do

[rothgar13]

I think Bull Centaurs are good at combining with a K'daai to break a unit. They're hard as hell and get ranks fairly cheap. Don't count on them for much offense though.

And yeah, I think that O&G list is about as good as it gets for 800. Without the proper Ld value, Gobbos and Trolls are liabilities.

[Johnny-Crass]

I would run Taruks if they did not have that stupid tax

[bigbadbat]

Give 'em hell today!

[Melle]

I would run Taruks if they did not have that stupid tax

tax,
what tax?

[rothgar13]

You can't bring Bull Centaur Taur'ruks unless there's a unit of Renders in the army.

[Melle]

ah.
hahaha. that sort of tax. oki, then i get it. thx!

[Swaiper]

Dear readers, why do people say that OnG is one of the weakest books in 8th edition? What are their weaknesses? Why are they not viable? Teach me, oh great ones.

The way I see it they have low ld, close to no armour save/initiative and standard WS, BUT they are really cheap! Are they not cheap enough for all these shortcomings? Is it the animosity randomness that makes them weak?

[Count Matthewzilla]

All I gotta say on daemons is tzeentch got crapped on. warpflame and nothing with flaming attacks? wtf?
