Did you know that the peace sign that was used so much in the ’60’s actually came from the Teutonic rune of death?

False, It's an upsidedown Christian Cross. At least so say the creators.
You're both right, in a way, and also wrong in a way(did that make sense?)

Echte zo? Nederland heeft een Soccer Team? :P *ducks for cover*

Did you know that you are being permeated by an undetectable energy called "Dark Energy", and that is the source of power driving the universe to expand at a increasingly faster rate?

Did you know the Netherlands barely made it to the European Championship next year (soccer)?

Bad MV, BAD MV! We don't call it soccer, we call it FOOTBALL!!! Soccer is a made up word by the Americans because they suck at football
So start using the real normal word and not the Americanized one, because Original English > American English ;)

Did you know that the American usage of the word Football was Old-English in origin? Rugby, which evolved into American Football was simply called Football for a time in England before the game of "Soccer" became codified as "Football" in 1863. ;)

Did you know I'm banned from Warseer for avoiding the swear filter?

Until tonight at least.

Did you know that Americans have a different definition of 'frown' than the rest of the world? Americans see it as an upside-down smile :( The rest of the world see it as a furrowing of their foreheads/eyebrows.

Did you know soccer is the world's most popular sport?

You're wrong, soccer isn't a sport. Football is the most popular sport :P

Redna is correct of course. I mean, who ever heard of Soccer Cards? I still have my '86 Dallas Cowboy cards. :P (Though I still think Soccer is much more popular ;))

What's this soccer BS? Football is the proper word. Funny that the americans call their rugby football. How often do their feet even connect with the ball? Only when kicking for field-gole, ie a few times each game. The proper word would be girlie-rugby (all that protection) or perhaps american handball. :)

Did you know that when asking a busdriver on Cyprus if he's going to Larnaca, and he nods his head, you better not get on the bus if you want to go there. Nodding the head means no in Cyprus.

Did you know it was England, not America, that dubbed Rugby as Football? Wasn't until 1863 that England suddenly up and changed the name of Soccer to Football and started calling Football by the word Rugby. Americans just kept the word the English gave to the game, and made it 10 times better. ;)
