So, hey.
It's been a while. Basically, I couldn't get a game of Fantasy, and some friends of mine got into
40k, so I went back to
40k. I'm having fun, but I miss Fantasy. And then GW murdered it, and now I really miss Fantasy.
But I've still got all these books and models, so if I can still play if I find people who want to. The game's not unplayable just because there's no new stuff coming out.
Anyway, here's my Mortis Engine. It is easily the most oversized, overwrought, precarious Jenga tower of gaming plastic I've ever attempted to hobby. I'm rather proud of how it came out.
Maybe some day I'll get to play a game with it.
Or maybe not, because it's so big and unwieldy, I haven't the faintest idea how to transport it. For that matter, I don't even know how to store it. It's just been sitting out since I finished it, collecting dust, which is suboptimal. Dusty models are the worst.
Moving forward, I plan to keep popping over here and posting things. I never photographed my zombies because the standard bearer isn't finished. There's a pile of partly converted Vampire Counts projects to my left that I still want to complete, and I have a notebook of ideas that I never even started, like Fell Bats converted to be like the original Carrion, with little Wraith-things riding them, for a Necrarch army. And who knows? Maybe I'll be able to convince the people I play
40k with now to give square bases a try.
Warhammer Fantasy is dead. Long live Warhammer Fantasy.
