Entry Thread. Turning the World to Darkness: Mounted Model

Time for the second challenge of this rebirth.

Here are the rules:

Schedule:
Week 1, Monday: Announcement and entry thread created
Week 7, Friday: Entry thread closed. Voting thread opened.
Week 8, Friday: Voting thread closed. Result announced. Winner asked about next theme.

All models entered should not have been painted more than a year ago from the date the entry thread is closed. This will not be enforced but violators will politely be asked to retract their entry.

Only one entry per person.
Maximum of 3 images per entry (including pictures in collages), of reasonable size.
No voting for your own entry.
No model can be entered into several competitions.
Open entries and open voting. Everyone can see who painted what and who voted for whom.
Models can be of any manufacture and conversion, but must fulfil all the criteria of the given theme.

Price: The winner earns the glory and a place in the Hall of Infamy thread. The winner also gets to selected the theme of the next painting challenge (note that the winner only has a weekend to present the decision, so please be prepared and available). If no decision is made within a week of the winner announcement, the decision falls to me.

Again going for a pretty broad theme, this is the theme for the coming challenge:
A single undead mounted model

Mounts of any size are allowed.

This thread is now open for people to post their entries. Please state a name of the miniature along with the picture (ex: Vampire Lord or Countess Squigmachine). Thread closes on the 5th of February.

This one is going to be a little tough for me, I'm away for three weeks so won't have much of an opportunity to start on this until just 2 weeks prior to submission. But you never know, 2 weeks is a long time I suppose... kindof. I don't even have a single painted mounted undead model I could submit heh. Foot Troops FTW!

@Leithel You can do it. I once painted a whole unit of Crypt Horrors(4 Werewolves plus 2 unit fillers) in a day for one of these comps as they turned up in the mail the day before entries closed. Granted, they didn't win but the came out okay

Okay, well I'm definitely in on this one. Already know what I will enter. Just need a free day to paint it.

I got one finished recently but i should be doing a couple of different mounted units in the following weeks so i should have something to put up =)

Hmmm, tempting... but I think on current form I'll stick to a horse sized mount. Definitely up for this one though.

That's a good entry but I really hope that it doesn't stop other people from entering. I'm sorry to say I don't look like I've going to get to finishing a model for this, just too busy to do any modelling during the Christmas period. But I'm dead keen for the next one and hope that everyone else is getting their entries together.

Actually I do have one model I could submit for this, would a cairn wraith mounted on a black coach fall within the guidelines of this comp? It's ok if not, but I thought I'd check before going to the effort of photographing it.

Ha ha. Strangely true, I do need some new reading glasses.

Really though I vote based on the overall idea behind a model, not just technical accomplishment as to me a cool idea of average execution is better than a standard idea of high technical accomplishment. I value creativity.

I will still be entering, just haven't had time to finish my entry due to Christmas craziness and now back at work. Will get it done though.

I'll allow it. These first two comps were deliberately given quite vague guidelines to allow more people enter. Future comps will probably be strickter (but that is entirely up to the winner really).

ok quick question. Since i won't finish converting and painting my BSB in time, i recently did some undead centaur conversions to be used instead of horsemen. @Mad 'At will that count for this competition?
