Greetings!
Pretty simple really; which 40K armies float Carpe Noctem's boat(s) and why? It's always interesting to see who likes what, even if they don't necessarily play Warhammer 40,000.
Personally, I have two particular favourites, the first of which is the Chaos Space Marines; specifically the Word Bearers. I remember reading the White Dwarf issue which had their original Index Astartes article in about eight-or-so years ago now; I'm still as captivated with their ideologies, history and sheer awesomeness as I was all that time ago. They seem to have had something of a revival as of late; I've really enjoyed checking out what people have come up with for them over on the B&C, and of course Anthony Reynolds' books are just excellent.
My other favourite army is the Orks. I just think they're brilliant; they add some light-heartedness and violent fun to the otherwise very sensible world of 40K. Modelling wise they're a converter's dream; anything goes with them (although red is preferable)! Ghazghkull Thraka is easily one of my all-time favourite GW minis, and has been for a long time.
So.... go!
