TVC II OOC General OOC Discussion (New)

Hey guys,

I've made another couple of small changes to Helena's bio. I've cleared them with a GM so they should be fair, and the touched areas haven't been played on at all so far.

The changes are these:

At the end of the fourth paragraph of her brief history, change

Sneaking out during the midday sun she began to make her way north, eventually reaching the border between the Ostermark and Kislev, finding refuge inside the enormous Forest of Shadows. Here she had a manor constructed and formed a territory to call her own, leading small armies of undead against the denizens of the dark forest, men, Dwarfs, Elves and chaos worshippers.

I have also changed her Tactical Knowledge basic stat from 3 (battlefield) / 5 (skirmish) to 2 and 4, respectively. Both changes are to reflect that Helena never was an actual general and only enters into small-scale engagements.

I think it has been pretty clearly established that Helena will never, or at least quite rarely, be the bigger man in these kind of situations. So to speak.

I can see that. For some reason she reminds me of Morturion from Chapter 1.

I'm referencing constant comments that really annoy everyone and lead to half a dozen not-so-secret death wishes. Despite numerous in-character warnings...although Helena is more humourous and frustrating to read about, whilst Morturion is aggravating (in a good, entertaining way, of course!). Plus at least she's von Carstein, so at least I suppose she's living up to her character in that sense.

She is supposed to be posting in chapter 8, unless you want to change your preference. She's welcome in chapter 7, but IIRC you planned to have her in chapter 8 for plot reasons (i.e. Simon, who is in chapter 8, wanted to understand more about her link with Lucatiel).

As for Chapter 9 I believe Ghouly is holding off as well and Kavok hasn't got around to posting yet so that would be why it looks quite empty.

I would advise Ghouly to post now; the others might not be able to post (out of those who haven't already posted) for quite some time, so if you want Graveclaw to say something in chapter 8, have him say it now.

The aggravating thing about this situation is that once we get these chapters off the ground (which is being delayed due to RPer inactivity), we can (and have planned to) introduce more characters. Post away for more activity, because we just can't introduce these characters IC yet until the journeys get going. That goes for all of the chapters.

@Mello Yes, until Kavok has some more time on his hands and the story progresses (I and others, probably @Get of W'soran and maybe @Disciple of Nagash , will be introducing some characters at later points in the chapter.

I don't think anybody else is going to post in Chapter 8 are they?

@Ghouly Simon, Harland and Archy have yet to post, but Harland has said that, although he wants to post, he is incredibly busy; Archy hasn't been online since October 28th, and Simon is also quite busy. So yes, you should make your post now, @Ghouly ; IMO there's no point in waiting any longer.

Like I wrote earlier, we can just as easily imagine that the others are actually around and that they're just not making any noise. Graveclaw's threats will thus be heard by all even if they're currently not present.

Indeed, @MasterSpark . Latecomer RPers can even say "x character had entered sometime earlier and was shocked by what y had said. He/she/it then spoke up for the first time since [chapter z]".

Hence, now would probably be a good time to post, @Ghouly .

@Count michael : if you think there is enough material to make a good post about, then post - don't wait for anyone else. The same goes for the rest of you; if we all agreed to wait for someone who was inactive, then the roleplay would be inactive until they returned - and we don't know when DoN will have time to post, so don't wait. And yes, I think there is justification to post for Mikhail reacting to the others arriving.
