Upcoming GM absence

Tomorrow, I'm going on holiday for a week. This means I will probably be offline for most if not all of that time (although don't hesitate to contact me during that time - I may well be able to respond!). I'd rather my characters were left untouched, but if some crucial plot progression occurs, I leave Morty and Rowhaine (who I am responsible for in chapter 7) in the capable hands of @Get of W'soran . That said, Rowhaine isn't my character anyway, so if GoW has too many characters on his hands he can always hand him over to @Simon von Carstein , or @Disciple of Nagash when he gets back (I'm hoping that's soon, but fear not, we've got plenty prepared for if his absence is particularly prolonged!).

Edit: oh, and for those who have just read my latest post in chapter 8, I edited it slightly at 10:47 GMT (I'm just letting you know in case any of you where formulating posts based upon the wording of Morturion's last words in that post, because I have changed them).

I don't have much faith in Elanor's chances here. Helena has better stats. Elanor's talents lie elsewhere but she can't resist a fight. Will be fun though

Good duel, although I'm a little surprise that the two times Elanor has scored a wound have been by neglecting her own defence. Though of course, Helena is far older, so maybe she's quite a bit more experienced. Also she's a fighter and Elanor's a wizard, so a case of mismatched abilities perhaps...

Yea the current performance in the duel is no surprise given their stats in thei Bios.

Yeah, its unfair Elanor can't use her fire magic and burn Helena to a crisp. She isn't too concerned by defence as Helena won't kill her. Just injure her a bit.

Helena isn't a slouch at magic either but the stakes would definitely be higher. I don't think Nicoletto would appreciate his house being burnt to the ground either...

Graveclaw doesn't wear the crown the only reason he still has it is because he couldn't destroy it.
Unlike everybody else, Graveclaw doesn't have any ulterior motives basically beat the shit out of chaos now, and beat the shit out of vampires later

Which is why I <3 Graveclaw so much, he's such a unique character.

Was my favorite in TVC 1 and won't be surprised if he's my favorite throughout TVC 2.

Wait, Elanor was going to kill Helena? Or wound her so much she would be inactive for a few chapters?:| von Carstein tactical insulting to its full use! Still, I suppose Helena gets applause for winning...even if the opponent being made to forfeit isn't the same as actually beating them. Though I think Helena already had two points? Time for some blade practice, Elanor!

Helena scored a point and stood down from the duel, Elanor attacked regardless with much more aggression than was allowed within the rules of a simple competitive rule as stated by Nicoletto.

So he got annoyed, lack of control in fighting is one of his pet peeves

Whether or not her intention was to really hurt Helena or punish her for doing so well in the duel is completely irrelevant.

And your right about the points, I've been posting on the move lately, I'm going to edit my post when I get home!

Well, the result is the same. And it's something Helena can say to Morturion, I guess: 'I won that duel without blade practice.' It'll be a great confidence booster for her, regardless.

Now, as for @Malochai: Interesting background. von Carsteins usually treat their people...decently. But this is a little further. Could be a conflict of interest in the roleplay. And the connection with the Lahmians...another interesting point. Good back story.
No von Carstein should be without a wolf or bat transformation!
Sounds quite technically skilled with his weapons, good.
That's as far as I'll comment, for now. I like him.

@Malochai Mordecai is now approved. I hope to post something IC in the next few days (when I get back, that is) but don't have time at the moment to do much more than read all the new posts made this week. Still, what I have read so far is quality posting. The amusing duel in chapter 8 and interesting supplement come to mind.

@MasterSpark Post modified but I believe it still runs into yours as smoothly as before.

@Malochai As we've already discussed my only concern with your post was the name of the Lahmian due to confusion it could cause. I know you've changed it but I think there is still one or two references on your post with that name (Maybe just a quick CTRL+F to have a look in the post to see if the name pops up). Other than that I'm happy and I think Dready is too. Character approved, refer back to our PM conversation for discussion on integrating him into the story.

Edit 2: To expand on introducing Mal's vampire back into the story this is held up by the progression of the Chapter, this is simply down to the fact that the chapter is being held up by the current ongoing Supplement which I shall try and get tied up ASAP.
