I'm still here. I've been meaning to reply to chapter 8 over the last week but I never did it. I'll get on it as soon as I can.

We're missing people generally.

Chapter 8 is just waiting for players to post.

Chapter 9 I think was waiting for Simon but I think Dready said he'd do an update when he can, he's just busy atm. Same for Chapter 10 I think.

It's the Summer between school/uni related tests and people heading on holidays you should expect there will be delays.

TL;DR: Be patient and once things start up again we can get moving so long as people post when the updates occur.

Its never dead, the GM in charge of progressing this part of the plot is just occupied with stuff happening in real life. All we need to do is wait, like we've been doing. It'll pick back up eventually. It always does. And there will be more lulls in the future as well that we will have to wait through, though thankfully I don't think any of them will be as long as some of the instances of hibernation we've been through in the past.

Edit: and wow... first time I got ninja'd by someone on a post... I think...

And there isn't really anything we can do about that... Most of the people that are in the RP have been in since the beginning, and new people have been joining along the way. At this point it is likely less a problem with people stopping because of how long it takes between updates, and more people just moving on and having other things they want to do with their lives, which I can't really blame them for. If they want to do something else, it is their choice.

Basically if they aren't expecting the gaps in the role play time wise, likely this isn't the role play for them. Everyone is obviously welcome to join, I just hope they realize that this started back in October of 2012... and if I were to have played Kavok in a normal tabletop setting, likely this would have been 7-8 sessions... maybe a few more if most role players are like the group I normally play with, but still... that would basically be like playing a session about once every four and a half months. Which actually kinda feels like how often we get to play sometimes, but I digress. Basically loosing people is just something we're going to have to deal with. I don't think there is anything we can do other then hope the time they did spend here was fun, and give a helping hand to catch new people up when they decide to join.

Apologies for my absence (again). I know that my promises/deadlines may now mean nothing, but I will have a post in chapter 9 (and possibly other chapters too) up tomorrow and it will progress things.

I'm back now, but I may not be as active as I was before at most times. I will be able to continue as a mod, gm, and in the 2 (possibly 3 if mal's rp gets going) rps I am invovled in. However, I may not be able to do much else.

Cheers (and, of course, apologies),

TDK.

P.S. I may sound a little tense/rushed in this post, but I'm fine really. My writing in IC won't be affected, anyway (though it might be a little off-balance at first due to my long absence, for which I apologise).

just an OOC note on what my characters are doing Sylvie is on the roof of the carriage feeling really shitty cause the assassins actually caught her (she was the greatest thief in all of Bretonnia so very sneaky and regularly sneaks past Lhamains)

Graveclaw is trying to get into Simons tent so he can listen to the deal that's being made also to protect the Empire guy from Simon, and he's trying to get the other too to come with him cause he does not trust any of the undead in the camp to not eat Kavok and Mello's characters and he basically called all Vampires in the camp Shit

Chapter 9 update: I have skipped negotiations between Avax and Simon as they were delaying the chapter. They will now occur in a subplot which Simon and I will write, but as for chapter 9 we have skipped that scene and are moving on.

Actually you can touch her Ellen perfectly fine, the Spirit only acts up if it thinks the girl's in danger. Whilst this would mean most of the time since Lucatiel is extremely over protective in this case (at least with Hans) it knows the vampires are acting protectively towards the girl. So the very minor and gentle physical contact from Hans isn't causing a reaction.
