Have updated my Character, to better conform with DoN's feedback on my subplot stuff.

DoN I have sent a update to my rather thin subplot stuff, that should be more fleshed out.

Bounce, majority vote never outweighs a GM's decision. We are not te one who makes that call. it is unfortunate that Narenzade has had to wait but there are others still waiting too. I'm sure DoN has a good reason and He'll get to it as soon as he is able. Having said that, in my mind his stats don't line up well with his character. He's only ~250 yet he's comparable to Kraskor Banespike's, whose a ~1500 vampire, but that's not our call to make.

These are most of the combat-esqe characters. You'll note that mine is in the lower third as far as total basic stats are concerned. My character is a weak caster with high potential. He's also limited in that area. Also, several characters have several magic items. My characters magic items are only cosmetic. So I really don't think my characters 'power level is over 9000' so to speak.

Narenzade, I think the point is:

a) having a 9 (for example) in magic strength is much more powerful than lets say a 9 in agility. There is so so much more stuff you can do in magic.

b)you're a new character, so you're not going to be as powerful as Kraskor, who has existed for as long as TVC I think, that's the reward for continuing

Out of interest I'd like to see everyone's total stats, Alastor must be really really low

A) I dont have a 9. I have 2 ability and a 6 raw power.

B) Not as powerful. Less powerful by several points. Have no magic items. Is currently in the bottom 3rd of Stats for combat characters.

My point is that his point is wrong. Backed up by numbers.

Well, the rules are there to ensure that everything is done fairly. As Lynks has said, popular opinion cannot counteract or replace the GM's decision, but it may influence it during this RP.
I understand that Narenzade would like to start posting, and I would like to continue, but as I have agreed with Naren, I will postpone so that we can make the final approach together ... If you're still interested?

I'm not sure of the reason for the delay in accepting the character, but DoN will review it when he can; this is, after all, the brain child of years - from what I understand, this plot has been brewing well before the last one ended.

EDIT: I missed my main point here :faceslap: Whilst Naren is right and his basic stats are lower than some others, protracted debate will not resolve the issue so we may as well wait.

I'm about 99% sure it's because DoN is busy and hasn't been on. He's running this whole thing and I'm sure has a real life. I'm not really too worried.

Well, if there are any issues with the character, then DoN will tell you how to resolve them; the stats for my character were too high to begin with, so he told me and it was sorted quickly

Personally i dont think everyone being equal is the issue- i see the main thing as being that the stats fit the characters fluff, i.e if it says "not as skilled at swordplay as bob" then your ws should be less tgan bob. Sure, be better than bob, just make sure the fluff and stats agree on this point.

I can't see that the background and stats are out of sync, but then I'm not looking over them with a well-versed eye, so I could have missed them ...

There was one or two that had fluff saying they werent as good as another but stats that were equal or better but thats all been discussed already.
