Umm... On the matter of the Grey Knights, I think that there are a few problems with their codex. Just so you know I'm not just hating on the army, they are actually my favorite of all the 40k armies. If I was going to play 40k that would be the army I played.

Now the problems I've seen in their lore is:
1) The Bloodtide returns. Basically people mess up a statue of the emperor accidentally while working, and this causes a big bloodthirster to break out of its ancient prison built into the world. After basically the world is corrupted, and all that remains are a few pure sisters of battle fighting against chaos the grey knights finally get their to party with the daemons like usual. Then things go down-hill... The grey knights who go there see the corruption tainting everything and causing mass slaughter and such, so they decide to kill the sisters of battle and use their blood in a mixture to pour on their armor and weapons to make them immune to the taint... totally ignoring the fact that they already should be immune from the extensive training they have to do to survive and become grey knights. They then clean up the planet, but the main point in all that was the inconsistency... and what may as well be Khorne worship with the pointless slaughtering and bathing in blood thing... Nothing in the book about the other knights thinking anything of this as well. No thoughts of them being corrupted by a daemon... Cause their grey knights. That just doesn't happen to grey knights.

2) Kaldor Draigo. Has anyone seen his lore? He is amazing and all, but with all he can do he may as well replace the emperor (heresy, I know... but still...). As a new recruit he delt the killing blow to a daemon prince and sent them back to the warp... Then after serving for about two centuries he became the Supreme Grand Master of the Grey Knights after the last one died to a daemon primarch. First thing he did, was carve his predecessor's name into that Nurgle (I think) daemon primarch's heart. Without catching any diseases... Skip a few hundred years, and the first big daemon he killed is back for revenge, and he almost solos the daemon horde (honostly, what are the imperial guard flashlights going to do? Though their siege probably did help some...). Well... Soloing enough that he was scaring both sides because of the pure one sided slaughter he was inflicting on the daemons. Then, with a broken sword, Kaldor killed the daemon prince for a second time, but was dragged into the warp with the daemon. But then he treated the warp like a second home. He forged a new sword from a bloodthirsters ax with his mind, and then proceeded to mess up everything in the warp that any of the gods of chaos hold dear. Honestly, I really like Draigo. His rules let you take great units as core choices (though his personal stats aren't really too great I don't think... not when compared to his lore...). But I really feel bad for chaos about this one. Because by this lore, they basically can't kill this guy. He is a massive thorn in their side, even in their own realm.

I think I'll stop here with the Daemonblade. Another thing I feel bad for chaos about. The one army that should be completely against anything to do with chaos, has a sword with a (if not multiple) daemon in it that is stronger then basically any weapons that chaos has access to that I know of.

Though yeah... Really off topic for this, but I felt like getting out my opinion on the grey knight's lore and what Matt Ward did to it...

Let's see...looks like you're just bandwagoning with the rest of the internet. Grey Knights are immune to the general taint of Chaos, but this was an extremely powerful bloodthirster that had to be LOCKED IN TIME to prevent his corruption. Grey Knights have always had blood sacrifices, by the way. It's part of their whole sorcery and technology get up.

Kaldor Draigo. You know, the chapter master equivalent of the baddest asses of space marines out there. You DONT think he should kick ass? By the way, he's basically Samurai Jack. You must not have had a childhood if you don't like him.

As for Crowe, the man with the daemonsword, he doesn't even use any of the daemonic powers at all. He'd be better off with a cardboard tube than it. But it's to his credit that he limits himself to fight with it, because he could have much better gear, and the daemon constantly tries to get him killed, and he does it all in the name of keeping the blade out of any place it could corrupt someone.

Ok... Didn't know about the blood ritual was something the grey knights did. Thought they were more stereotypical paladin then that, and thought blood rituals were too close to looking like worshiping Khorne...

No, I did not watch samurai jack much. It just didn't interest me for what ever reason at the time. I get that he should be a total bad-ass and all, but that wasn't my point. I really like Kaldor, but I kinda felt bad for chaos getting its collective ass handed to it by one guy. Kaldor should be extreamly strong and such... I don't know... I just feel they rubbed it in chaos's face a bit too much with one guy...

And no... Crowe isn't who I was talking about... Yes the blade of Antwyr is a sort of daemonblade, I was talking about the actual "Daemonblade" that you can give to the Ordo Malleus Inquisitor. His stat line really isn't anything special, he is an inquisitor not a full on space marine, but he is really cheap. Though that wasn't really what I was talking about... The weapon itself is basically better then any of the melee options chaos has as far as I know... The different rules you can get with the weapon would probably be a great weapon worthy of the 15 points... but it lets you get two of them... its unfortunite they are chosen at random, but still, almost all the Daemonic powers it grants are fairly good...

Though I might be really wrong about my understanding of the rules... I haven't played many 40k matches, and none of them with an army of my own... :(
(though that is probably because I don't actually have one right now...)

Well, I will admit, taking on a primarch might be a bit much for Draigo, but other than that he's fine IMO. I will say that giving inquisitors more varied daemonblades than actual Chaos has is weird, but they're still not amazing because they're still only human. But yeah, the new Grey Knights are actually more like the original Grey Knights than the 3rd edition Daemonhunter codex.

On the fantasy side, as I was told by one sensible member of Carpe Noctem, Matt Ward gave Storm of Magic almost no fluff whatsoever, not speaking much about why the storms happen. It is the opinion of many 40K players that he also damaged Grey Knights. I know Cruddace is bad, but he doesn't wreck fluff as much as Matt Ward, who, while his rules may sometimes be great, cannot write good fluff, and compounds the shame by getting rid of good fluff and replacing it with his own.

Nope, today is catchup as yesterday I stupidly thought that the Windows 8 update would run smoothly  Finally got it all running, and to be fair it is working very well at mo, but was usual, took me bloody ages :(

I'm currently torn between two types of secondary characters, need to decide!

In case anyone was wondering what Krispy Kremes are, here are some examples.

The company logo:

Their classic doughnut, Original Glazed:

Krispy's latest three doughnuts, Salted Caramel, Chocolate Praline, and some sort of white chocolate nougat thingymagig:

I hope I've cleared some of the confusion up. xD

It's harder to eat a Kirspy Kreme without licking your lips than it is to kill Archaon the Everchosen with a night goblin.

For once, we are glad to see an ultramarine!

Don't link to images on FJ, Sanai, they disappear after a week/24 hours....

and @Archi, I left my laptop charger at school, so I can only use the family computers, and then I don't have enough time.

I think that maybe we SHOULD set up a roleplay about slow posting. It would be quite funny, and an effective way to use up spare time.

Just reading through pages of OOC :O However in the meantime;

Narenzade: Your character is OK

Sideplots: Still need to read through - I am getting to them!

Sanai: You could intro your character hunting for warpstone....not sure what you are going to do when it comes to Drakenhof though? Maybe you could infiltrate and listen....thought I am getting Rask flashbacks xd

Ok, just read through to the end.

Firstly...you lot are nuts.....o.o

Secondly.....carry one......xD

Right side plots. I am working on these and will start PM'ing people tomorrow (UK time) as I need to go through them, fleshing out (people who had first round replies will know what I mean). But regardless of sideplots there should still be enough to for the characters who want to introduce in this chapter, to do so.

Kavok, your character is good to go.

Simon - Great secondary character

Ghouly - Sylvie is too strong for a weaker secondary character. You need to knock her strength and toughness down a point.

Questioner - Looks ok as a general all rounder, however his strength should only be 5 - I see no reason for him to be stronger than an average vamp lord. To make him more interesting, you might want him to have a mutation, know chaos magic.

Jason - Welcome back! Great to see you and hopefully will start seeing more of your stories again  You character is ok coming from TVC I, however two points. His magic is very powerful. Jason was good, but as far as I recall he was the power of a level 4, so his strength should be 8. His skill should be a lot lower due to his shattered mind - however as the RP progresses I am sure actions will take place to bring that back. As per other TVC I crossovers, please remember as your character may have more power / abilities that newcomers to use him with restraint xd

I need to go and create the bio for Anya now - she is going to be my secondary character. In regards to the earlier question. New players you can create a secondary bio, however at the moment I will not allow use. As per the original TVC I want to see regular posting with one character before a second is ok'd.

Did I miss anything?
