That's why alastor is no-longer trying to insult the carsteins, he did that enough at the beginning and actually made some semi-valid excuses. Either way, I'll be doing kareoke with Jason now.

Glad I'm not alone here.

Undead Karaoke FOR THE WIN!

Sorry I was away, been snowed under with uni/ painting.

Don't worry mate, Real Life comes first.
I'm really Glad Peters back though xD Dieter needs a mate!

I know Dieter and Peter are soldiers but I didn't realise that they were that close.xD

It's more to do with the Regent Guard hating most knights except Peter :clown:

And for Dieter taking his helmet of well I was getting sick and tired of writing expression then realizing no would could actually see them

Peter lost his wife last time he got involved with the Council, hes just not ready to love again xD.

But he has so much to give! :clown:

No worries. Btw it is likely Peter would know of your character's other name, Peter is an old noble of the Empire after all. Its a small world when your rich xD. Just up to you if you want him to know who you really are ;)

I think it would be a nice twist if Peter knew of him, what with him being a Baron and whatnot, but I doubt he'd know very much - he doesn't own too much land, and hasn't involved himself in the war overly much. He tries not to draw attention to himself for obvious reasons

I seriously can't keep up with you guys. I'm trying my best but am now 8+ pages behind. And you guys just keep getting faster. If I wasn't committed to a sideplot with someone else, I'd just kill off my character and come back in a couple of years.

Basically, Morturian argued with everybody.
Graveclaw fought a bit.
Kavok realised he is in a vampire lair and is confused by the "hospitality".
Situation seems to be diffusing now and everyone is putting away their weapons.

yeah guys, we probably don't want to start any aggression, verbally argue like before (think of alastor at the beginning) its just I'm feeling that this situation is becoming less credible by the second. Is this just me?

Agreed.

One or two characters would already be dead if this was a less player friendly RP.

I know many of the characters have had enough reason to kill a particular necromancer several times over. xD If this wasn't Chapter One of a player-friendly RP, Dread King, you would be dead. Something to consider; Morturion is extremely antagonising, and we are limited in our response because we don't want to physically maim him. I do plan to have Kraskor cut his arm off at one point though (or maybe a leg...).

I wonder if, for the first meeting, negotiations could "break down" and the council could disband. There's enough mistrust and hatred in the room for full-scale inter-vampiric war, let alone a premature end to the meeting. Then, perhaps after the true nature of the threat we face is realised, a second council could be called that would end up more productive.

I've also thought of an excuse for Rowhaine's slow-walking-syndrome. Perhaps he was just outside the door, listening in despair to the bickering and fighting, but refusing to intervene in the hope that order would be established without his involvement?

I deleted my last post, just in case anyone read it in the few moments it was up.

Wasn't really happy with it so it's gone!
Was only posting to try and explain how a large amount of magic was just used in the room (when it shouldn't be possible)

But can't be bothered now so I'll let everyone come up with their own speculations xD

As for Rowhaine, I dunno, maybe hes conferring with his escort or some other silly thing that humans who worship gods and get magical powas from them do
Maybe it was prayer time!

@Darvy, well I wasn't trying to be so... specific but yeah, I'm afraid I think that's the source of the problem, all we can do is get really really angry, and not harm him. Which is kind of odd when vampires are so used to just killing sh*t..

Can Alastor break the bad news to Jason?

Nice to have some sensible posting now :clown:

You could be he wouldn't believe you. Simon Karl or peter maybe but its gonna be intence.
also could always just say bard music dosnt count against the wards of the castle what enchanter consideres bard magic to have any real threat?

Break-down council and Rowhaine despair are wonderful ideas, Darvy; I am very aware of Morturion's annoyingness and that it why I am going to make a secondary character very soon.
Darvy, maiming in the council chamber would lead to chaos, and that would seriously compromise the council's power against Chaos itself. Morty knows this, which is why he thought it was the perfect time to take the oppurtunity to annoy everyone! He's stopped now, though - for the most part. He probably won't be going near the Kraskor Krue again for a looooooooooong time.

However, Darvy, feel free to let Kraskor try to maim Mort later on...but do not underestimate Mort. He has a few tricks and magic items up his sleeve, and is one of the best magicians in the TVC II, so Kraskor could get quite hurt himself in the maiming, looking at the statlines and items.

It should make for an epic face-off, though my secondary character will probably be angry with Kraskor (if he suceeds) for cheating her of her revenge on her good ol' uncle Morturion. Will post her bio up soon, and I'll try to get Mort to say something without angering someone. xD

Are there any easily accesible windows in Drakenhof? Mort may want to show some of his magic tricks outside, because the wards stop him from doing too much awesomeness in Drakenhof.

Of course, a much easier method would be for the Triumvirate to turn off the wards, because everybody had calmed down and there was no immediate threat to Carstein safety from the guests.

I have posted, and Nekhlior shouldn't be too offended, I hope. Looking realistically at things, he'll probably just laugh and make another joke about Nagash.

Man, after looking through the posts again all the way through, one thing stands out to me, mortuion is a real pain in the @#$%@#$%! He is so snobby that I am glad igor was talking with alastor most of the time.

Oh no, of course later! I wasn't going to open hostilities again in the same meeting, I meant for the maiming to be later on. Glad to see we've fixed it; it's like the two have got out their diaries "how about Tuesday?" "No I've got the dentist, friday?" "Ok, friday for chopping my arm off... lovely!" xD

And I completely agree that Kraskor wouldn't find it anything like a walk in the park. That's why I don't want to say Kraskor will kill Morturion (I'll resolve the oath sneakily, as we discussed in chat!), but just a maiming, and Kraskor will come away scarred too. However, this confrontation will be much later in the RP once... certain things... have happened.

I know what you're talking about, Darvy, but what you're saying sounds suspisciously like it has a double meaning...have you been spending too much time with Sanai and DoN?!!? :O
