As a lahmian Elanor has a rather flexible understanding of the idea of a relationship. Hence she has already tried flirting with four characters in one day. :-) I would hazard a guess that among immortal beings relationships would be a lot less committed than with mortals. Forever is just too long a time to spend with one person.

And strictly speaking, till death do us part doesn't really apply to undead characters. Or would they commit themselves until true death due us part?

Wasn't he an author? Something Salisbury? "We are like dwarves standing on the shoulders of giants"? Pretty sure a mate and I had that exact conversation earlier on this week.

P.s. Am I allowed to look this up for myself afterwards? This is going to kill me.

I remember a story from an old physicist professor involving Issac Newton and that phrase

Newton said something similar to what you said (which I believe is the original) "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants."

But as I heard it he was using the phrase to insult his rival Robert Hooke who was said to be short and a hunchback.

As for "Dwarves standing on the shoulders of giants" that was first said by a philosopher Bernard of Chartres (cheated for this one, had to go to the book shelf to find the spelling of his name  )

You definitely got the phrase right, Lord Mortis. But it wasn't salisbury who said that. And if you want to look it up, feel free to do so, but it's all a bit pointless then, as it was not your own knowledge. However, after it is won, I will confirm the answer, and feel free to check it's right.

Following in some of you guys' footsteps, I let myself appear at castle Drakenhoff. Think it was about time to make an appearance :p

Lynks, if there is anything you'd like to say in before I left, or if there is something I did wrong in portraying your character let me know so I can adjust it.

Just a quick note, I'm fairly certain the wards got lifted... Or are you just saying its a lasting effect caused by the attempt to teleport the last time the wards were up... Fairly certain he had tried to teleport once before with the wards up.

The wards indeed got lifted. Else, I would have made a rather awkward entrance.

Also, if anyone is interested, I find myself at the council with no one to talk to.

Feel free to join Nekhlior and Mort in their conversation about necromancy. Everyone's getting involved, so why don't you join the big discussion? It will inform your character a bit on what's going to be talked about in the meeting.

you can attempt to comfort Alastor. As he says him self, the world has shown no compassion for him

Actually I think it's also fair to say that judging by how he's behaving, Alastor is pushing away those who might show compassion to him.

How very coincidental. You're not referencing Roald Dahl, are you?

EDIT: "The two-backed beast" is going to have to be the name of one of the Chapters...

Nope, it'll be a supplemental just for Sanai and DoN - and I sense they will be posting very quickly indeed...
