Dualchi is small town run by noble family's in Tilea. The constant feuds between them over the years led to uncountable duels. It got to the point that over time each family developed their own dueling schools. For generations dueling experteese and instructors from Dualchi became a sought after commodity from other towns, like the city of Luccini.
The Domenici family was the most skilled duelers of them all and their future was secured in two prodigal sons, Alberto and Carlo. The brothers were unequalls in duels but each other. However, as brotherly love goes they ended up fighting each other half as much as fighting opponents.
They also had an odd habit of ending up fighting enemies (or each other) at the most inconvenient locations.
Be it on top of Dualchi's rooftops, across beams in taverns or swinging from church chandeliers the fights could be abnormally prolonged but in the end proved enjoyable entertainment for spectators.
Sadly the Domenici brothers never got around to fulfill their duty of their house as rival family's plotted together and burned the Domenici mansion and school to the ground, with all Domenici's still inside.
Only Alberto and Carlos managed to survive and it is said that Dualchis streets ran red with rivers of noble blood that night, as the brothers took their revenge wherever they could.
The Dominici brothers eventually had to flee Dualchi and settled down in Sartosa. They eventually found themselves working for a pirate captain and soon became infamous pirates for hire, fighting all manner of heroes or villains across the high seas.
One tale tells how they even ran into Wulfrik the wanderer, both brothers working as bodyguards for an ogre pirate captain called Goldig Anchorteeth. Sadly for Goldig the brothers argued over who would accept Wulfriks challenge and ended up dueling each other. Alberto and Carlo were still fighting, swinging from the ships masts, as Wulfrik had finished his task and sailed away.
One day, having accompanying a Brettonian lord on an expedition to Lustria, the brothers ran into a fleet of zombie pirates of the Vampire coast. The Brettonian fleet was overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of rotting ships with their cursed crew.
It was only after the fighting had ended that Luthor himself took notice of how his minions couldn't secure the enemy flagship. On board he found the brothers, deeply indulged in a fierce dispute over who'd acquired the most kills during the battle, fighting it out on the ships foryard. He was vastly amused by the sight and thus killed the brothers personally.
Before the brothers could join the afterlife their souls were captured by the most battle hungry of Luthors personalities and bound to the Dark Maiden to crew it forever.
Now the Dueling Domenici brothers of Dualchi are forever bound as slaves to the Dark Maiden, locked in an eternal duel for Luthors pleasure until the very End Times arrival. Many unwary enemy soldiers have been caught between the flurry of the phantom brothers and paid the ultimate price.
