Hi everyone!

I'm ReveNoir, and I only recently started getting into Warhammer (about mid-January). I've been interested in the hobby for a number of years, but haven't had the time to invest in it until now. I'm located in Canada, and am really excited to get into things.

The reason I chose VC as my army is that I've always been fascinated in everything vampire...have been reading Anne Rice books since I was 12 or so, and the interest has grown from there.

Stumbled across this forum when I was trying to find info about color schemes for VC armies that aren't your typical red and black.

I look forward to cruising around here some more!

Hi,
I am John from Turkey. I am currently living in Edinburgh, UK, away from my VC army. o_o
I've been playing Warhammer Fantasy over 10 years and had many armies. Of course, VC were the best of them. I've just bought the new army book and... well... Let's see what is going to be.

Hi John. I'm Matt from the USA. I've been playing Warhammer for about 14 years, on and off. I've been playing VC for about 6, but only really got into them with the release of the new book.

Hi all, been playing for about 4 years now, only army I want to use is vampires.Getting to grips with the new army book, hope to run a few ideas by you soon.

Hi everyone!

I just want to introduce mysef:) I am an old VC player, but I haven't played much warhammer for the past 8 years, but i've been reading these forums since late November 2011, because some friends and I have decided to pick up WHFB gaming. We have played some smaller battles 1k vs. 1k and paired 1k vs. 1k. These games have primarily given me some experience in the huge changes made in the aspects of close combat and magic during the last 8 years.

Lastly i would like to express my gratitude to the creators of this forum, and the users for the level of maturity in the replies :D

Hello All!! (how imaginative)

I am new to this forum, and VC in general.

A little bit about myself: I'm 24 and live in a little city called Carlisle in the very north west of England. I've played WFB for nearly 14 years now, and have recently gotten into a bit of a funk with armies I really want to collect/play.

This all changed when I walked into my local GW to speak to a friend, and I saw the new VC book and models. I instantly bought Isabella (Clichéd I know) and set about (Straightening her sword) cleaning and building her. Now I just have to paint her....

My plans for the army: I plan to build a semi-competitive army that looks lush on the battlefield, so I'm going to spend a lot of time on the converting and painting side of the hobby (probably looking to finish 2000 pts by end of summer/beginning of Autumn)

Why did I join this forum? Well, I joined because I was looking through a few forums and this one really struck out to me. Some of the painting is great and I can certainly draw inspiration from it.

Anyway, I have rambled for long enough, I have an army book to go and buy. Hopefully I'll have something painted next week to show you.

Cheers

Good day fellow bloodsuckers,
I am Jiros and I've been playing Warhammer for 2 years now, 1 year Dark elves, some months Skaven and now my favourite, Vampire Counts.

I hope the members are pleased with me being here as I hope you mortals won't dissapoint me ;)

See you around!

Hello, world!

I'm Brittlewords, and I'm new to this forum, to Vampire Counts, and to WHF altogether. I'm looking forward to lurking in the shadows, feeding off your knowledge, and hopefully raising an army of the undead to call my own.

Current collection: 10 Crypt Ghouls and 3 Vargeist(s? - not sure on the proper plural there!). With three more of the winged bloodsuckers, I'll be launching my first (and probably only) Bloodbowl team!

Nice to meet you all. :konrad:

Hello everybody, Im SotekRocks!(Dan). Ive been playing Warhammer for over ten years, and have always had an attraction to the Vampire Counts. I made a few lists from the last book, play-tested them and really liked the feel, with this new book and all its Strigoi type units I now have an even greater desire to play them.My main army is obviously as you can see from my username, the Lizardmen. I also have an Empire army (Sigmar/Ostermark themed). I love painting and converting, so Im sure Ill be a regular in the hobby threads.

I'm Jesse (see username) and I'm just getting into Warhammer Fantasy after burning out on 40k and wanting a bigger game than my other love, Warmachine, provides. And I love the look of the VC models.

Hi, name's Beno. My first ever warhammer army was back in the days when they were Undead - nothing less and nothing more!!! That would be the dark old days of the early 90's. After a loooong break in the hobby I built up a Wood Elf army, then a Chaos Warriors army, got some Salamanders on the build (thats 40k though) and I've been painting away like a possessed brush recently. I can now say, and proudly, that I do commission work too - though I stress that I'm no J. Bonamant or Jarhead (yet, hehe)

Anyway, I worked on a Vampire Lord for a friend of mine and it got me thinking of whipping out the old Libre Mortis and resurrecting my Undead horde but, to put it mildly, the necrosphinx just doesn't do it - I wanna see rivers of blood and legions of bats swarming the skies - hahahahahaha :vampire3:

So yeah, always like to participate in general discussion about armies before I jump in and build anything; expect me to keep popping in with ideas for lists and colourschemes until I stump up some cash and start building.

Heyo, Breegalad here,

Hi im regan,
i have been playing warhammer for a while now as a empire general but i have decided it is time to follow my dark desires and become a creature of the night.

Hello!!!! YEEEESSS IT'S ME!!!!!!!!

Old time gamer, ex G.W Staff (don't hold that against me!!)

I'm also on Da Warpath: Gruntfuttock's the name there..

Played V.C's since the VERY old undead book up til today...

Been gaming for possibly way tooo long!! (I'm that old I remember when all the G.W paints were in black and white) and when Heavy metal began to paint everything in colours only glimpsed when licking toads.....

Currently living North of Lillehammer and sadly there seems to be no gaming groups around me so if there's anyone around The Otta area, let me know!!!

ONE!!! ONE POST!!! ha,ha, haaa ( sorry could not resist!)

Hi All

Im a newish fantasy player (5 months) coming from bout 7 years of 40k, and love the style of VC on the table hoping i can bring much blood and glory to my club :)

It would seem this Oldblood Lizard has been bitten.
It started with the release of the Zombie Dragon. That's when the temptation started pumping through my veins. Then I saw the Ghoul King that comes with the Dragon. It was magnificent.

A few days ago, I watched as 3000 points of Vampires, Zombies, Skeletons, Corpse Carts, a Mortis Engine and a Terrorgheist marched across the battlefield in a glorious battle against Orcs.

First I was like . Then I was like :|. Then :grave:. And now :vampire2:

Hi everybody,

Harley, here from Brisbane, Australia. I'm 20, a Saggitarius & won't give my number out to a website of bloodsucking fiends...:suck: I haven't played Warhammer, in any form for about five years, back when "ye olden" 5th Ed was all fresh faced & new, wait maybe it was 6th?

Previously I played; Black Templar, Eldar & dabbled in High Elves, Wood Elves & Dark Elves, before starting on Warriors of Chaos. Finally decided to get back into the game & despite most of my friends, okay all of them, playing 40K, I've always preferred the models & game of Fantasy better, so lo & behold, I'm pretty much a vampire through & through. Zombie's pretty much won me over, plus that new badass Krell model.

Anyway that's pretty much me. Oh & I bought Mortal Kombat on PS3... if anyone wants to fight...

P.S. Apologies, looking for people to fight on MK is probably against forum rules, won't do it again, promise.

Hi, I'm David from Spain.
I've been painting and modifiying Warhammer Fantasy over 5 years and had many armies. Of course, VC were the best of them.

a pleasure to be here!

Hi I'm Ryan, from New Zealand. Bought the 6th Ed VC book while playing 40k, bought some models few years later, bought 7th ed book after that, then finally started playing end of last year. Had about 4 games in total then went overseas for several months, now getting back into fantasy.

Just dropping in to say hi and introduce myself– Rob Hawkins, I've been playing Warhammer since 5th edition, before the split of the "Undead" army into the Vampire Counts and (eventually) Tomb Kings.

I started a hobby blog this year: http://robhawkinshobby.blogspot.com/ to showcase my work, tutorials, terrain, and whatnot. I found this forum because my blog was linked to in the Painting Inspiration thread, and this looks like a pretty cool community of fellow "dead heads."

My VC army is the "Legion of the Infernal Skull," led by the vampires of the Family Von Koss.

Hey there im New to the online community I have been wanting to play my VC's forever now but always end up in places where there is no one around to play. I collect armies and probably spend way to much money buying models I tend to wana get every option available to me regardless if Ill actually play them ....... But I read a lot of your posts so I figured id join up and at least get familiar with you all so I can learn the trade of Generaling a VC army if i ever get the chance to play again.

Other armies are O&G HE's and a few Straggler Dwarfs :) ...

Thanks for letting me lurk here so long its time to be a more visible figure in your society.

Hello one and all!:D

I am Kris, a new blood with my heart set on becoming the finest vampire count ever!... well, out of my local game group, I am a complete newbie to fantasy, but after playing flesh tearers/khorne chaos army, I'm kinda big on the whole blood/consuming blood side o' things. Plus after watching 4 series' of Being Human, I generally think vampires are awesome!:D - Now down to the warhammer side of things!:) As of payday (hells yeah, dawg.) I'll be starting fantasy with a couple o' mates, they will be playing O's&G's and Skaven. And will possibly be attending Throne of Skulls this summer if I get to grips with my VC fast enough. Any tips/ideas on what the blazes i should do/buy for my army would be greatly appreciated, Ill be starting WHFB with the Big book, the army book, a battalion, and a Vampire lord, if this is some hot idea, or completely whack, please advise, thanks and happy... Vampiring? (I guess thats what we do, we "vampire" peoples days up.) <3:vampire3:

Hello my real names Byron Townshend I'm the founder/owner of www.Dark-art-studios.co.uk I sculpt and paint miniatures for customers around the world and I'm current building up are own range of fantasy miniatures with my 4 brothers Olly, Jaime, Beau, Dean...

The first miniatures I every got from GW was the skeleton army boxed set which included a chariot, unit of 20 skeletons on foot and I believe a unit of 8 cavarly.. a year later I would take my army to gamesday and reach the finals I think the year was '93' So I've always been into the undead I think due to the fact of watching Ray Harryhausen's skeletons in Jason and the Argonauts at a young age...

please check out our gallery we have a nice selection of undead miniatures.. hopefully they will inspire you with some fresh ideas :)
