So on a quick no picture update I've now done:

All 30 Skeletons rusted, and removed from their bases ready for sculpting.
All 25 Zombies rusted, and removed from their bases ready for sculpting.
Half the Black Knights Rusted, but their bases are already done.

I do have one question though... In my latest revised list (thanks to lots of help in the forum) I've now ended up with the need for two mounted vampire lords, as well as the wight king.

What do you guys think is the best way to mount a hero vampire, mainly so that the model doesn't show up the existing Vampire Lord? I mean I obviously won't be giving it a giant purple fur rimmed coat, which should help. But I was thinking of buying a blister vampire, and chopping it in half.

One of my thoughts was the top half of the Dark Eldar Lhamaean model (it won't let me link from GW)

Except I would move it around so a sword was in the right hand (possibly still facing backwards like the sheath is, at it would like quite good whilst mounted I think) and reposition the right arm into a shield arm.

Idk, what do you guys think? Ideally it would be a GW solution, as that is the main place I get the chance to play.

Well it's certainly been a busy day! I'm about ready to call the nice rusty knights finished now too! Just gotta go on a basing spree, and that's 1000 points finished. I'd love to know what you think of them!

The rust is really fine looking, especially when there's a whole unit of them! I'd only complain a bit about the cloth that now it's cleaness clashes a little too much with all the used, rusted and grimy armor - maybe some added dirt here and there, maybe some rust-coloured streaks near the armor? But even without that, that's still a plenty good looking unit

I found a small bit of Milliput in the bottom of my drawer!

That means I've got some more basing done, so here's some Zombies, and a Dire Wolf!

I think this last one is 'Jaw-Droppingly good'

Whoa, a zombie without his jaw, that's neat!

Also I must say that this basing of yours creates an awesome pattern of colour with dark-grey ground and little colourfull, orange specles. Simple enough to not overshadow the mini and worked-with enough to make it a very interesting background

So with the lack of millput, I've taken to building the last of my Zombies. Mostly just standard builds, but I've put the more interesting ones below. My Zombie total is now at 60!

First up is a mini walking dead homage (Michonne anyone?)

This is a LOTR goblin, isn't it? I've read that some people plan to use them as ghouls, but I've never seen it, I wonder how a unit will look like Also, I've looked at the zombies yet again - awesome! Good and fun ideas, and to think that I've had a problem with missing hands :slapface: It's also good to see that GW zombies get some love

Thanks guys! finally back home today, and I plan to get the rest of the bases finished over the weekend.

It is a LoTR goblin, as I hate ranking up the fantasy ghouls I think they'll look pretty good together... But only time will tell!

Painted up this pretty little fella! At first I was dubious about the sculpts, but they're growing on me. And I certainly prefer them to the standard Crypt Ghouls. The photo editor has accentuated the highlights a bit, but I'm very pleased with how he turned out. I did weapon swaps on the models so there were no metal weapons (except the ghast) so this one has a spare skeleton arm! Let me know what you think guys

It really is! I can't wait to start some gaming with em, and then get to work on my next 1400 points I also forgot, there's a terrorgheist to throw in with that army shot too

Nice army you have there, but I thought it was bigger Maybe lack of terrorgheist makes me feel this way.

There is a great atmosphere here, with the colors and the unified base theme, very gothic - I love it

Well I lost the 1000 point game, just. The winds of magic rolls were just awful. We averaged at around 3-4 power dice, and 1-2 dispel dice, and I don't think I channelled once...

But I've decided to play around a bit with a 1500 point list, so I can get some more points in my Vamp and Necro, since unfortunately they just weren't kitted out enough in 1000 points, with a Terrorgheist as well!

I'm going to play the 1500 point game today, and I'll let you all know how it goes! I'll try and get a battle report up as well!
