Haha! It's not that complicated, honest!

Basically, I get Aggrax Earthshade wash, mix it with water 1:2, and wash the whole model. Then wash the whole model again. Just cover the model, but in two fairly thin coats.

Then I get pure earthshade, and pick out some cracks, mainly the eyes, teeth, ribs etc.

If you'd like, I'll get a tutorial up next time I paint some Skeletons :3

Sorry for the late answer, I had to show some appearance on a festival and had to get drunk and watch great bands playing the whole day..it was terrible. mahahahah! xD

For the tutorial, I'd love to see it step by step, even though your description is really helpful yet
And if you're on it, feel free to show how you do your metal parts too, this dark metal looks great! ;)

Maybe give a little dark brown wash on the muscle string on the horse? It looks a bit "too fresh" for the old bones..but it's nothing bad, just my perspective (:

I'll get both of those tutorials up when I'm doing my next batch of 10 Skellies!

Yeah, thinking about it the muscle does look a little new... I'll see what I can do! The brown wash seems like a good call.

Thanks mate :)

I feel I should apologise for my absence, but you see, I've been in Romania, on an expedition. Spending time there enjoying the sights, as well as embarking on a 6 day trek through the Fagaras mountain range, I even got to go to Bran Castle - somewhat of a pilgrimage for my Vampire loving self ;)

I have some more Skeletons painted since then, pics up soon :D

So I've made a start!

Got some touch ups to do though. I can't help but think the portal needs something... gloss perhaps? And I'm waiting for my leaf litter to get here to finish off the cobbles! Maybe they'll get some selective brown washes around too. Hmm...

Thanks man :)

That was easy. Got some greenstuff, wet my table, and my hands. Rolled it out into a long sausage, as evenly as I could. Then simply curled it around itself. Evening up with a knife once I was done xD

Next up then is my Banshee. I'm not sure on colours here, but I was thinking of a black, blending to light purple cloak (light purple at the bottom, black at the top). A deep metal, and pasty white skin, jet black hair. I was thinking basically any Japanese horror ghost :P

Your army is looking awesome!!!!

What's your method for the purple cloth? I also am painting an army with a purple cloth theme but am really struggling to highlight it while keeping the dark tones, and it looks like you've been able to accomplish that beautifully.

Thanks mate :)

The purple is:
Naggaroth Night base,
Drybrush heavily with 1:1 Naggaroth:Xerus Purple
Lighter drybrush with pure Xerus Purple
Final highlight/very light drybrush with 1:1 Xerus Purple:Ceramite White

It's really simple and fast to do :)

WIP on my Banshee! (Base GS is drying, which is why she has none atm :P )

I think I'm gonna brighten up the blend on the cloaks, and add some more white to the skin now :) And wipe the fluff off her hair :P

So I've had a very bus few days! I've painted up my Banshee, however I forgot to get pics, and now it's in the LFGS' cabinet :P

Also about half way through my Vampire Lord!

However, I do have some pics!

All of my Skeletons are finished:

And I also converted and painted a Wood Elf sorceress up for my girlfriend :D

I am jealous of that wood elf. I wish I came up with those conversion ideas, lol. Kudos on a great job.

oh, and the VC stuff looks good too! xD

Thanks mate :) Sorry for the late reply, been in Jersey :P

So I've finished my Banshee, but for some reason, none of the links I make work, so it's an attachment :P

Haha, thanks mate :)

Quick update really; Made a start on my last 4 Black Knights, and written 2 pages of fluff for my Vamp. Lord recently! I'll get that posted up when it's finished.

Hey look, a rebased Terrorgheist!

I still need to replace this rock with a crumbling wall (coming from the existing one)

I'm not sure what to do with this claw... maybe holding something? Or something else to support it... idk :/

Still got gap filling to do of course, and add some more rubble to the base once it's cobbled.
