I love it (though I am biased to anything with a maritime theme). I like quite a few of Fenryll's models but have been putting off getting them due to finances. You have convinced me to add a bunch to my growing army. Really great work thinking outside the box

sorry for not responding, but its been hectic becoming a parent.
hence most activity(here and paintdesk) will come to a stall until we're settled in our new roles/life. Hopefully I'll get around it again around xmas or so.
The engine tied first place in the challange,together with Santa. sweet!!! not too bad, considering the opposition. All looked amazing.
also, I will like to point out, once again that the idea of a charon as a chariotbased(me,corpsecart,black coach) model came from santawraith. I 'only' choose the parts and built/painted it
I will need to find another boat for my 2nd ME, layout will be basically the same, but it needs to be bigger, so i can use it in competitiveplay('modelling for advantage' is something i DONT wanna hear)

next project is a 'cheapaschips' terrorgheist. using the spare parts from the Zdragon and bitsbox. we'll se how it goes and if it gets finished in time to enter the challange, though i'm doubtful about that.

Top work here, really like the idea. I can see it fitting extremely well with units of cairn wraiths and hex wraiths around it too

just bought 2 boxes of hex's and have about 10 wraiths to paint, in addition to the 8 that's done, you should start your post with :spoiler alert ! here, archean

hoard o bits having a discount streak, as well as free shipping, so I went and ordered 6 thunderwolves and 2 alternative 'will be wights', among some. an easy headswap seems like all they need. might even work as vamps.

So, time for a small update, I would think. ..
Time for for hobby is scarce at the moment, so I decided to have a bunch of zombies laid out on commision.
60 ish zeds built and reassembled the last 24 hours.along with some fillers and 2 rising-zombiegiant units of 20.
Tomorrow i will base them all and ship them for painting
Slight chaos
Mostly done
Closer look on my mounted vamp to be, sexy eh?

Floors are getting fixxed be4 junior starts to crawl, family is of with her parents and i watch the house, building zeds.

The mortis engine is inspired.. I may have to steal it for my own army. I didn't get on with the standard version as it does not fit the overall feel..
Are you going with a drowned look for the zombies or just standard decay?

i wont paint the zombies myself, ive arranged for someone to paint them for me as commision.
im guessing standard decay, only the mortis engine is themed on water. rest is wolfish, or will be.

So., basing on zombies are done. Will prime at work tonight.
11 chaos dwarf iron sworn built from the pld chaos warriors. Known as the 'hunchbacks'
I did a testmodel last week, and then i found a tutorial. So i followed thar instead, more or less.
Knees and elbows cut of, reattch and then shorten weapon.
All heads will be horned.
Beards come later, when i figured out how...
They ranked up very bad on 20mm so I will leave empty bases between, chequered. Meaningi have now a unit of22 ironsworn

So my counts as K'daai destroyer arrived yesterday.
Its a mcfarlane Aries, warrior of the zodiac. Ive seen the taurus used as k'daai, but i think this looks cooler.
Also the cancer would make a fine, cheap as chips slaughterbrute.
and gemini could be a decent mutalith vortex beast.
here's my kdaii, straight of the box. not sure if i'll use his weapon or not.
The idea of old warriors as dwarfs came from a chat with j-c where he suggested it. I was desperately looking for a use of my 100+ uglyass warriors. ..
