Rosa bit her lip, before finally summoning the courage to say what had been on her mind.

"I... I don't do this lightly, or flippantly, or anything," said Rosa, "But vampires, they're deceptive. We've seen that; I would never have guessed that..." Rosa couldn't say his name, but what she meant was obvious. "... anyway, the fact that I was completely deceived by your act, Karl, it's thrown me. And the fact that you and.. the vampire," again Rosa couldn't bring herself to say his name, "Defended each other, without any apparent reason for knowing each other, well it just seems too strange. I really am sorry, Karl, but it's like people have been saying. If I don't vote now, then the vampire will carry on killing people, and us real humans will be in more and more danger."

VOTE: Johnny Crass/Karl

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Karl simply leaned back in his chair and called out to Anita "Well let's get dis 'ere buisness overwith then huh? I got some wenches to bed in the afterlife. "

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Caleb sighed heavily.

"I have been mostly silent this day. My confidence has been shaken that I could be so wrong about Bastion. I was convinced that he was a monster. This day I have listened to others and find myself in agreement with them. May the gods help me if I am wrong once more."

VOTE: Karl/Johnny-Crass

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Gregor carefully wiped his tweed clean before returning to the room. He began nibbling queasily on dry biscuits.
"I'm... not feeling well. I don't think I can trust my judgement right now, but I am in agreement with the previous points made. I have other suspicions, but I am in no mood to cast aspersions."
He turned to Karl.
"I cast my vote for you, following the same reasoning we've all repeated: the strange connection between you and Antonio."

Vote: Karl

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Ulfr glared at Serethia
"I'll get drunk if I want southerner, a man should always chose how he dies, what you going to to do kill me" laughing at his own joke

"I refuse to believe someone from the North would be a vampire, those of the north have honour we live and die by the blade besides if he was a vampire he would of killed us all from the start than hiding like a honour less coward picking us of one by one"
Draining the nearest goblet whilst pointing at Markus/ Kate
"Your creepy, I don't know what you are? a he, she or an it. I don't trust you my gut is telling me there is something wrong with you and I always listen to my gut over my head"

Vote: Markus/ Kate
Turning to Karl
"Want to get drunk? If your going to die we might as well send you out in style like a true man of the north, later we shall have a head butting contest" grinning at his idea

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Mihael glanced up at Ulfr.

"You vote for someone because they aren't neurotypical? That is the most contradictory thing I have ever seen. We just saw ourselves that vampires are perfectly capable of appearing to be totally normal, so you vote for the not normal person."

he looked down at his chocolate diagram and nudged a section closer into line.

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

"Well yeah?" Ulfr said looking at Mihael strangely "I always trust my gut it's never wrong" patting his belly proudly "These vampires are sneaky bastards, what if they are tricking us?
They might want us to think one thing whilst actually doing another thing, so when we think the thing they want us to think they are secretly doing the thing we that we didn't think. So when they would be doing that thing which would be the thing they are actually doing whilst they do that thing we never assumed they would be mocking us..........I think wait that doesn't sound right or does it? Damn this is confusing"

Ulfr started swaying as he inadvertently confused himself "uhhhh my head feel funny I need a drink, damn vampires they did this tricking me with fancy talk" grabbing the nearest drink quickly draining it letting out a loud burp "ah that's better"

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

To Ulfr
"I would drink all the alcohol you can get your hands on my rotund friend" Lucien slurred draining yet another glass of wine "I doubt that Karkus over there.." he gestured at Markus/Kate "is going to let the fact you voted for them slide come night fall. This may well be the last chance you and I ever have to indulge in drink."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Sigmund made his way to an empty chair, sitting down as he watched the others vote.

Raising a hand he gestured at Karl.

"I am very sorry friend but I find that you have also aroused my suspicion and the boy's reasoning has persuaded me even more so, so I also vote for you."

The knight looked sadly at the man who seemed condemned to die "I may be wrong but whether right or wrong action must be taken." he said softly "We can not allow doubt to stop us."

Vote:Karl/Johnny-Crass

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Clemence had wandered down at midday and spent most of the time since holding her head and sipping from an noxious concoction which she swore blind was a hangover cure. Seeing people voting, however, she stood up with a determined expression.

'Sir, you may or may not be a vampire, but still I feel that you cannot be allowed to continue as you are. Mr Bauman, my vote is cast,' She pointed a shaky finger. 'Against YOU!'

Her purpose done, Clemence returned to her chair and added whiskey to her hangover cure.

VOTE: OBADIAH/THE ICE LORD

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Obadiah stood up from the chair he had been resting on most of the day and turned to face Clemence.

"Madam, I would recommend you stop drinking and re-consider your position here. While I may have had some suspicion against me, from people, for example from Mihael, I don't think my actions are that suspicious. I correctly argued against Antonio, forcibly and intently, by myself for the most part, and was right. Today, I was the first to argue against Karl, and I am positive, as clearly lots are considering the votes against him, that he is a vampire.

So to rebuff you, you feel I can't be allowed to continue as I am? I haven't spoken since the morning, where I voted for Karl. What do you want to stop? The correctly getting vampires? The voting in general, in which case why me? Or the not talking, like you for most of the day? Are you a vampire or a hypocrite?

You are voting for me, whether or not I am a vampire? What are you trying to accomplish here? Can we argue it out reasonably, rather then casting votes? You haven't really given a reason or explained yourself.

I just ask if you want to re-consider, because I don't think you are a vampire, and I don't want to waste my efforts tomorrow in defending myself from drunk women, when I could be bringing down more vampires, and saving every human in this room."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Clemence took a slug from her drink. 'Sir, I think you will find I am simply trying to preserve proper morality and decorum. Since the beginning you have tried to overthrow the natural way of things, as these vampires try to overthrow the natural balance of life and death. Can this be a coincidence? You have kept quiet all day, but I know your game sir! You seek to hide, to make us forget what you said yesterday! Well I can assure you, sir, that we of the upper classes have long memories. We even know who our fathers are!' She looked rather pleased with this insult, and rewarded herself with a large gulp of hangover cure/cause.

'And besides, surely if you were a vampire it would be in your best interests to eliminate the competition. After all, they must get thirsty like the rest of us. They wouldn't want to compete for food. Since I suppose you haven't done anything today, I'll withdraw my vote, but I will be keeping an eye on you sir. As watchful as the very animal for which my family is named. And if I ever am led to believe that you are opposing the interests of civilised humanity, well then, sir, the Fonteloupe family will not stand idly by!'

VOTE WITHDRAWN: OBADIAH/THE ICE LORD. VOTE: ABSTAIN

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

"So you have all decided," Anita's voice called as the evening drew in. However unlike previously the recent events seems to have shaken the women, as there was a small shake in her voice as she spoke.

It seemed this time she was unwilling to use her magic and she nodded at the crossbowmen. Stepping forward the sergeant raised his weapon with military position and without a word fired at Karl's heart.

There was a thwack and gasp as Karl smacked the bolt aside. Anita's face twisted in vindicated fury,

"So you are one of those deamons!" she shrieked, only to be confused by Karl's shaking head. Flapping her hand at the guards caused four more bolts to be fire in rapid succession, four more bolts swatted away by blurring hands.

Anger burned away whatever worry the lady previously hard and with a scream she summoned a ghostly dagger that lanced into Karl's heart. The man tottered from the force of the blow before gently staggering backwards into a chair, a line of blood dribbling from his mouth.

"Ah think......ah made meh point," he gurgled, showing no signs of vampirism as more blood poured out of his mouth, "lookin' different.....doin different....things......don't.......mek............someone.......a.........vam-......"

Karl signed his last as the ghostly dagger disappeared, leaving behind the corpse of someone who had died with honour....someone who had been a man.

[mod]Karl has been voted to death. His death as revealed him to be human with no special status.

Night has now started, time for bed![/mod]

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Kate smiled eerily as she watched Karl die.
"That is disappointing I was sure he was also a vampire. Still I am glad he is gone, it will be much more pleasant here without him trying to get in my pants." Kate's smile was replaced by a frown as Markus stepped forward.
"He may have been disgusting, lewd and uncouth but he did die with honour." Markus said sadly.
Kate nodded. "That is true and I think we should all pay attention to his last words. Being different doesn't make you a vampire." She said firmly. "Now I am off to bed, are you coming Mihael?" She asked with a sly wink, suddenly seemingly oblivious of the fact that a man had been ritually executed just metres away.

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Waking up to Karl's corpse, Ulfr respectively closed his eyes "you died with honour enjoy your afterlife" he spoke solemnly before turning to face Markus/ Kate with a angry glare before spitting at the floor
"You Bastard! I knew you were twisted, condemning an honourable man to die to protect your miserable skin. I say we just string you up and throw you into the fire and see how you like it, you are the vampire and may the gods curse your miserable existence and damn you for eternity"

Turning to Mihael
"Looks like your fool proof plan to find the vampire failed, ha! look at where we are now I am starting to wonder if your a vampire as well "

Turning to the others
"Enjoy your pitiful live southerners, I doubt we will all live since you are playing the monsters game voting for those they feel threatened by. I may be an idiot bit at least I have honour, it (pointing to Markus/ Kate) and that fool (pointing at Mihael) will be the deaths of you, if you excuse me I'm getting drunk I might as well enjoy my last night since I might probably be killed tonight"
With that he walked to the table draining as much wine and booze as possible before finally passing out unconscious

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

"I was... so wrong," whispered Rosa, before running to her room, sobbing.

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Mihael looked down at his diagram before scattering it carelessly to the wind.

"Note how I didn't vote for Karl. He wasn't a vampire, it was too obvious. A vampire wouldn't make so many mistakes as to make him so obvious.

Hopefully all of us who survive now realise what we are up against. This is a game of words and shadows, not evidence."
he smiled evilly with satisfaction, clearly loving this.

"Kate, shall we have a repeat of last night?" he said, already slinking into her bedroom.

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Serethia's face had paled when she saw the bounty hunter die and without a word she walked towards and then into her room.

Why can't hunting monsters be easy.

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

"Bravo sheep" Lucien cried sarcastically whilst administering a slow hand clap "maybe tomorrow you will try and think for yourselves now that you have witnessed the results of acting like a mob?"

Stumbling to his room clutching a bottle of wine "And keep the hell away from my chamber this night leech" he mutters as he passes Marcus/Kate.

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Kate giggled excitedly.
"Definitely!" She said to Mihael then turned to Lucien and Ulfr in turn.
"Neither of you are much fun and you were both mean to me. I hope the vampire gets one of you tonight." She said with a charming smile.
"Kate! that's a horrible thing to say." Markus interjected. "What if the vampire does kill them? Everyone will think it was you."
Kate frowned, her eyebrows furrowed as she thought this through.
"Fine." She said finally. "I hope you both live through the night so I can vote you off tomorrow and it will then be revealed that you are in fact vampires."
With that they entered their bedroom after Mihael closing the door soundly behind them

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Viktor went to bed shaking his head slowly

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Sigmund stared at the corpse looking confused before frowning and glancing at Mihael.

Shaking his head the knight soundlessly returned to his room.

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Flynn woke with a start amongst all the noise. He suddenly realized he had fallen asleep against the wall.

His eyes flickered around the room and rested on Karl's corpse.

"You...killed Karl? I didn't like him particularly much and he was fairly vile but I wouldn't have thought him a vampire. I hope you had a good reason, because that doesn't look like the body of a vampire to me."

Flynn hesitated. "And where's Bastion?"
