"I strongly agree. Mmmph" said Flynn to Rosa, spraying crumbs over the lacy frill around his neck as he spoke. "The stuff on offer here is brilliant, I think we can help ourselves." He paused to pop a pair of grapes into his mouth. "The name's Flynn by the way. Flynn Saldere. I don't think I caught yours?"

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Gregor nodded amicably to Bastion.
"No apologies needed. We are all stressed here, and I appreciate your daily conversations are probably less than comparable to mine."
Gregor returned to where he had sat earlier and grabbed another glass of water. He took a swig and spoke again.
"My plan was merely to put each character on display so that we might all analyse them; my goal is to get out of this alive and with as many fellow innocents as possible. Nonetheless, I can see that neither the accused nor the accuser fancy their personalities laid bare for all to understand and evaluate. It was to be expected, I suppose."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Bastion grinned at the scientist.

"Amid my entirely unneeded torrent of abuse, my point was that the best way of getting to know one another is open debate and conversation, not a staged argument."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Gregor finished off the glass of water and nodded.
"Fair enough. I suppose my method was slightly more academic than required."
He looked around the room.
"I hope I get my names straight, there are a lot of people to remember..."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Obadiah held Antonio's gaze longer then strictly necessary before turning to the, possibly panic driven, argument engulfing the room. We certainly don't want a staged debate, for then the best debater will win, regardless of vampiric tendencies, which hardly seems fair. Nor does it seem fair to force someone into a private debate, for it seems to me the more someone speaks, the higher the chance of raising someone's suspicions.

Everyone needs to talk equally, and together. We need to amass information on people's personalities before we can make a decision.

He added pointedly, looking at Antonio again:

Or at least before I can make a decision.

If being paranoid is a good enough indicator to vote against someone, then I think many of us will get votes against, not just young Mihael.

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Mihael looked up exasperatingly.

"Well I guess not everyone's like me. I substitute caffeine for sleep and cocoa for sustenance." he indicated a small pile of cocoa beans.

Politely he shuffled himself and his menagerie out of the way of those who wanted breakfast and instead sat on the floor.

"While everyone indulges themselves" he mumbled, breaking out his equivalent of breakfast: 7 beans and an apple, "and now we've blown off all the stress and hype of the situation, shall we run over the situation we have?"

He popped the entire handful of beans into his mouth and took a bite almost bisecting the apple, with a mouthful of food he continued.

"A guest was killed by a vampire, or vampires. One or more of us here eating breakfast is/are said vampires. So seeing as when I suggested ideas I was voted against, how about I ask everyone here." he said munching away.

"If we keep our thoughts concise and to the point we'll save ourselves a ton of time, although it pains me to not do all the work myself. So in a sentence."

Mihael downed the second half of the apple, core and all.

"Tell me how we catch these vampires."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

*Looking to Mihael and smiling sadly*

"Thank you for the offer but I don't feel much like eating right now, I just want my family."

*Taking a shuddering breath in order to compose herself, fighting back tears, she was stronger than that.
Speaking to the group as a whole, trying to keep her voice steady.*

"Can we please at least get to know one another before we condem someone?
I don't have it in me hurt a innocent person because I find them brash, rude or even a little long winded."

*Eyes still sad but none the less able to give Bastion a joking smile at the end in a half hearted atempt to lighten the mood.*

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

"To put it simply, Mihael, we need to talk to them!"

Bastion chuckled at Arabella's statement. "Yes, yes, I had a breakdown. I'm sorry! It was indigestion. Probably."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Antonio returned Obadiah's glare levelly; before spreading his hands in an open gesture and smiling broadly. "I understand you may feel me brash, but I still don't wish to retract my views. He still has not provided a suitable reason for one ... Such as himself, to be in attendance at such a function. Indeed, I'm surprised Anita allowed him to remain ..." He trailed off, and then shrugged.

"Regardless. Whilst I agree that staged debates are not appropriate for a situation such as this, I do actually feel that people under pressure are more likely to reveal their true nature. I shall leave it to others to decide whether, and if so, in what fashion, such an idea shall be implemented. After all, we have no leader here. We are a collective." His face showed how little he liked the idea.

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

"Exactly!" exclaimed Mihael, gesturing happily at Antonio while chewing heavily.

As intelligent as some of us are, working individually will only end with failure or more suspicion." he said vaguely waving a piece of chocolate at Antonio.

"I thought I managed to prove that point rather well with Mr Veneziia here."

His hands resumed building the miniature tower of chocolate he was creating, it seemed to be a replica of the room.

"I have one more thing to test first though, which I imagine is already happening as we speak."

he paused hesitantly.. then knocked the whole intricate structure down and started consuming it.

"I think I'll tell you, it won't hurt for you to know, and will hopefully gain your trust, which I need badly." he admitted, raising his eyebrows.

"If I generalise very roughly, the room will obviously have an intelligence split. Those who are clever, resourceful and fearless enough to hunt the vampire or vampires down, and those who are not. In other words I feel not everyone here, if they worked on their own, would individually be able to hunt down the vampires" he paused mid chew...

"I think that's all I need to tell you for now. If you wouldn't mind I'm going to wait until tomorrow morning, then I will explain my theory. I just have some... details to iron out, before I tell you with 100% certainty."

Sigmund had stood aside silently, as certain party-members argued amongst themselves, with his hands clasped behind his back.

"I agree with Lord Veneziia that the boy here has acted somewhat suspiciously." the knight said turning to address Mihael "You speak often but your words lack substance." he told him bluntly.

"However that hardly makes you a vampire although it may be regarded as suspicious."

Silently he made his way to Rosa who had finally regained conciousness.

"Are you feeling better my lady?" he asked politely "I'm afraid it was I who placed you in the privy in case you where...unwell." he added carefully.

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

"Well good sir" Lucien said to Antonio "have you heard anything that would make you reconsider your vote for Mihael?"

Then raising his goblet to Bastion "And to you my excitable friend I thank for reminder of basic courtesy. My name is Lucien. Lucien Moench. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance although I wish it was not under these circumstances."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Standing to his full height Karl spoke in a strong clear voice "I am Karl Longarm, bounty hunter and world traveler. I have killed and captured more men than some whores have seen in their careers.... " With a half smile he added "And I have seen my fair share of whores to boot."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Antonio turned his head to look at Lucien, an apologetic smile on his face and feet still perched on the table leisurely as he sat on the Lady's chair. "I am sorry for the boy, but honestly, no ... His very presence here is bizarre, although I suppose that could speak in his favour ... I do grant that one of these creatures, if as intelligent as they reputedly are, would most likely choose a more inconspicuous cover story." He shrugged. "Whatever will happen when the day ends, I have more than enough time to withdraw my decision ... If I decide to!
"I am ... Honoured? Hmm, whatever, hello Ser Longarm. Despite you being rather ... Crass, I wonder - is there anything you can add to our collective knowledge about these creatures? You look well-travelled, I have to say."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

"Indeed i think it likely that whoever is the most normal and uninteresting and plain boring is likely to be the vampire." Kate added fervently.
She turned to Karl with a wicked smile. "Getting whores is easy all you need is a lot of money. It's when you can get them to want you, desire you, chase after you at all costs and do whatever you want that is impressive."
Markus took over backing away from Karl nervously.
"I am sure you can get girls if you want to my good man, i apologise for her again, she can be so inappropriate, but she is in fact right about the first thing. The vampire will be trying to blend in and thus any suspicious activity may in fact be more likely a sign of innocence then guilt i believe." He finished with a nervous smile.

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

"Or ... It could be a double-bluff. It, or indeed they, may realise we could come to this conclusion." The nobleman sighed, and slumped slightly dejectedly into his seat, shaking his head. "Or maybe I am just thinking too much into the entire thing!"

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

"My name is Caleb, a traveller in these parts. I am of noble lineage and if necessary can recite my family history back for 10 generations. My time is spent in the noble pursuits of hunting, fencing and the like, which I am sure is of no interest to you people. However as it has been suggested that we get to know each other I do not see the harm in announcing such things."

Caleb once more turned towards Mihael and voiced an opinion.

"You now say that you have some ideas that would help with discovering our unwanted guest but that you will not reveal them until tomorrow. I find that to be an attempt to stave off public execution on your part. Dangle such thoughts before the crowd in hopes that you will not be voted to die before then. In the meanwhile the monster could strike again and another innocent may die. If you are not the crature itself then perhaps you are in league with him, buying time for yourself and your master to exact more horror upon us."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

"10 generations off the top of your head?" Lyssandra questioned Caleb crudely as she wandered the table collecting food, "Can you do it to the tune of "on the reik" or perhaps.... given your soo noble something by Tarradasch?

Heading over to Rosa she continued "Caleb has a point though. IF you have some solution to our problem M, I suggest you tell us now because all not doing so does is add to the suspicion that is already building."

Plopping a plate of the food she had gathered in front of Rosa and sitting next to her She turned to Rosa with a grin "I am Lyssandra of Yur and I too am noble by right!" with a flourish of her arm and doing the best parody of Caleb as she could manage. Taking a bite of the food on her own plate she followed up her impression by speaking plainly, "I wish I had been in alcoholic stupor myself last night, though I suggest that you avoid the substance from now on in order to maintain your perception." her grin sliding off her face as she spoke.

Waking up from the corner he was curled up in Ulfr yawned loudly before stretching as he rubbed his eyes. Gazing around the room he started to make his way to the corpse where he gazed at it for a while before closing the corpses eye lids muttering "May the gods accept your soul in the afterlife".
Ulfr left the room making his way into one if the bedrooms for a few minutes, after which he returned with a sheet which he wrapped the corpse up before dragging it out of the main room where everyone was. His job done he returned sitting at the table and started to eat a large amount of bacon, eggs and Tomatoes.
"even in death a man should be given respect and dignity" he seemly spoke to no one in particular continuing to eat breakfast

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Mihael rubbed his temples slowly.

"Please, I understand I am hardly acting like a normal person would in this situation, well I'm hardly a normal person frankly." he said gesturing to the intricate pile of chocolate around him.

"But this... theory I have can only be confirmed after tonight. If I were to tell you now, whoever is the vampire would listen and change the outcome, making it even harder to track it or them down.

Please. One night, then no more secrets from me."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Sir Muller had approached Rosa, who still felt quite ill. "Thank you for moving me, sir," said Rosa, before realising quite how embarrassing the situation was and started to blush. "I, erm, yes, a little better, thank you," she managed. The man had had to move her? Physically pick her up and put her in the privy...?

A noblewoman, Lyssandra, stat down with Rosa, with a plate of food. Having suggested it to everyone, Rosa realised she herself hadn't got anything yet. "Pleased to meet you, ma'am," said Rosa. She would normally stand and curtsey, but that would probably induce another dimension to her headache. "A drunken stupour? Sigmar above, how bad was I?" asked Rosa. She felt more comfortable asking another woman this question, especially when they were sat for breakfast together. Rosa leaned across the table to get herself a two slices of bread and butter, as well as some cooked mushroom and a modest-sized rasher of bacon. It was exactly what she needed, and as the sound of clinking cutlery began to cease she felt much better with a good meal down her.

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

"We can not rule out those who may appear a little, ahem.." said Lucien looking at Markus/Kate "..unusual, as that would discount half the room. Obviously you are not suggesting you are above suspicion."

Swirling his goblet and peering at its contents he spoke aloud "I have a theory about Mihael's theory, if you will. He thinks he knows who it is and is merely waiting to see if they survive the night. Hardly a master plan worthy of the mystery."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Obadiah turned, and spat on the floor in front of Caleb.

Do you think your lineage will keep you alive longer here? Will it serve you against the vampires? Don't put yourself above anyone here; we are equal victims. Or does reciting history repel said monsters? In terms of nobility you may be better than me, but not in terms of survival. We need to work together, not lord over each other.

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Antonio rapped his cane sharply against the table at a different angle, leaving a score across it's polished surface. "Obadiah!" he called with a stern. parental voice seemed strange coming out of his mouth, him being less than twenty years of age. "I do not think that it was Caleb's intention to put himself above anyone; he was doing as I did. trying to prove he is human by reciting family history. Babbling. Saying anything.
"I'm sure it's a common reaction to fear. I'm also sure that Caleb knows it will not save him against the creatures. Calm down!"

The nobleman frowned seriously, and the regular tapping of his cane started again.

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

His disgust apparent upon his face, Caleb looked from the spit on the floor to the man who had put it there.

"Some of us are born to lord over others, regardless of circumstances. You would do well to remember it. Nevertheless, my nobility, as you say, will not keep me alive any longer than others. That was not, however, my reason for announcing it. I was simply trying to be forthcoming about myself. Truth is truth, no matter where it is spoken."

He turned back to Mihael.

"It would have been better for you to keep your idea entirely to yourself if you knew you needed more time to collect whatever evidence you think you will have. Announcing it before it is fully formed has not helped your case. There is something wrong with you, that is the feeling that I get. Vampire or no, I do not trust you."
