Serethia had stood up to depart to her room before taking note of Mihael and more importantly the fact that the arguing is still raging on.

"Erh, what is wrong with that one?"

With a frown the young woman forces herself to take a seat again, even she can tell it's not wise to rest when such discussions are still raging on.

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Replying to Markus, Obadiah spoke. "Not all of the invited here were of noble birth. I'm sure our host has reasons for inviting every individual here, however strange that choice may be."

Resisting the urge to slap Clemence he said: "What sweat and blood have you lost in maintaining your position? You have no 'superior' blood, it flows just like mine. Your birthright is given to you by ancestors, you had nothing to do with it. I don't pretend that you don't have a higher rank than me, but I would like to think that you shouldn't wave it about. It doesn't make you better than me!"

Replying to Caleb's hostile questions, he glared back at him. "I don't make noise regarding equality. Men are not equal. But birthright certainly doesn't make a man. His actions do. If you sit back and enjoy your pampered life, you end up excluded, withdrawn from the reality of life. To many lords who just boss around servants, life becomes a distant game, the interactions of people become meaningless. You stop valuing others. With someone in those circumstances, how can I possibly trust you? You are not taking this seriously; just mentioning rank and nobility.

I came to be here by invitation of course. Throughout my life I have been employable to many as someone who can discretely help with messes and problems. I started off as a young man who would help for small affairs: recovering borrowed money, convincing others to change their plans or ideas, locating missing persons etc. Jobs that for some reason or other the employers would prefer law enforcement, if there was any around, not to get involved. I wasn't paid in gold, but in a name, in trust, in favours and in contacts. I moved on to jobs for larger names, namely discrete intel gathering and often advice in how to deal with problems. My work often took me into contact with nobles, such as yourself, and let me say that almost all that I have met have had some very dodgy skeletons in the cupboard.
I have many contacts throughout the world and I have indirectly worked for Anita, thus the invite I assume. If I may, why exactly are you here, or is it just that you were born to the correct parents?"

He raised an eye at Caleb. "If you tell me your family name, I am sure I can recount for you some dodgy business you or your family have been wrapped up in."

Obadiah listened silently as the discussion continued into the afternoon about sleeping arrangements. He raised his eye again at Kate's and Karl's votes.
"Karl, we are talking about life and death here. You vote for no reason, other than the fact that you seem to be chummying up to Antonio? You were certainly not helpful at the discussing at the start, and neither have you been now. You have made no helpful comments, and seem to be more obsessed with getting off with women here than anything else. You admitted you wouldn't mind killing innocents either, and you certainly are acting slightly temperamental, and slightly repulsive. You have been waving knives around and assaulting men. You are a threat to us, vampire or not, and I suspect the former."

Obadiah listened as Bastian's puns turned into an argument, led by Caleb.
"Now we have four people all with votes. I think we can assume they can't all be vampires; some of you, if not all, must be wrong. One thing I would ask, however. Should we make voting compulsory or not? I understand that if you vote, you may feel complicit, and in indeed you would be, in that person's death: a distasteful position, which is deterring many from voting I feel. Surely a few votes, namely due to personal taste, are likely to misguided, but if everyone votes, we are more likely to pick the right target? Should we enforce voting? I think it will make it more likely to catch the vampires.

The day is drawing to a close, and I am sure most are tired. I suggest we finalize our votes now, and sort out sleeping arrangements. To start, I vote against Karl, with the reasons I stated earlier."

VOTE: Johnny-Crass/Karl

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Antonio raised a bemused eyebrow at Obadiah and shook his head. "How can you possibly intend to enforce voting fairly? If people are uncertain as to whom they think is the culprit, randomly picking a name is far more likely to work against us. And if they refused to vote, what would you do? Beat them? Cut them? Torture them until they guess? And where does it to from there? Forcing them to agree with your vote?" He barked a harsh laugh. "No, I do not think so. If they don't wish to vote, that is their prerogative!
"And I also think that you are wrong; the more people vote, and the more people who feel they have to - and will thus randomly choose someone - is likely to adversely affect the outcome, which I think you are intelligent enough to know. I can also understand your vote for Karl, and whilst he is ... Crude, yes, I do not think you vote for those reasons at all! Indeed, I think you have a completely ulterior motive!"

UNVOTE: MIHAEL/LUCIFER
VOTE: OBADIAH/THE ICE LORD

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Obadiah looked at Antonio askance: "Honestly, I personally believe that the more people vote, the more likely it is we will catch the vampire. Please argue my reasoning, but I don't think it is flawed. If only a few vote, it will be the ones who are talking the most, and they will only vote against the ones talking the most, as shown today. They will mainly vote against the few they have been arguing with, the ones they dislike as people, not because they suspect them as vampires.

I certainly wouldn't force everyone to vote, not at all. I was merely stating that I think the more people who vote, the more likely it is to catch the vampire, and so we should. Also, everyone should join in the discussion, even those who seem a bit shy. Certainly not random voting. You earlier told me off for putting words into Caleb's mouth. You have done just the same here. You are twisting my words, changing them completely, or you have completely got the wrong end of the stick.
I am simply saying everyone should join in and vote. It is favourable statistically, namely because only 1 person can lose. I think your logic is flawed, and even if you truly believe my logic is instead, then isn't just a suggestion about voting a small thing to base an entire vote about life and death on?

I know I angered you earlier, and you are Karl have become close friends, but I think you are the one with an ulterior motive, because your vote doesn't match your reasons. I literally made one point about voting. What is wrong with that? I think you are over-reacting.

When Gregor made a point about talking, or anyone made any point about anything, you didn't change your vote. We debated each case, and yes, we have argued but come on! Lets debate the point, but you have got me all wrong!

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Bastion frowned slightly. "I would like to point out that my vote was not simply because we were arguing - do not think me so rash and impulsive. It was a carefully meditated decision.
"However, Antonio, I am disappointed in you. When you first voted for Mihael, you backed up your claim. You provided reasons and they were plausible ones. However, here? You do not give any evidence, apart from an allegation that he is lying. You yourself admit he has reasons! So why do you not believe him?
"One other thing. Why are you so quick to defend Karl? You, a self-asserted proud noble, leaping in front of an encrusted old man. It seems to me that you two might have a... history together."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

"Firstly, Bastion - your approval means precious little to me, here or in the outside world. Secondly, I do not know the man, as I have ready said. You can doubt that fact all you will, the truth will not change. I dislike the idea, but in this situation we are all equal. And just because I am a noble does not mean I don't feel for the man or am indifferent to his life! Obadiah may have come across nobles like that - and a great deal are like that, but we Veneziia's care and look out for all who are in our employ. Karl is not, but I still would not like to see him killed because of his mannerisms!"

Antonio turned to look at Obadiah coldly. "We have not 'become' anything; I merely see chasms of flaws in your accusations.
"To start with - he has weapons, which he 'brandishes' - by stabbing a table and a rat, correct? Has he threatened anyone with them? No. Indeed, he did threaten violence when Bastion, and Flynn were making the ridiculous puns, but I can easily understand that reaction! Whilst we are all intelligent, likely educated persons, I cannot see Karl having had that same level of tutoring - besides, look at him! Does he look like the sort of person who has had an easy life? No! It is my estimation that he has had a difficult one, with violence and fighting as a core component and death commonplace, which would likely lead to one not appreciating the kind of humour you were taking part in. Someone having led a difficult life, in a society different to our own where the very mentality is different does not entitle a person to be put to death. The same can be said about his personal hygiene.
"As to his preferred preference for the women than discussion, I once more draw your attention to his person. Again, he does not look like the type that would engage in discussion - more a man of action than words, I think could be used to describe him. I am sure you are familiar, Obadiah,"
Antonio said, gesturing to the man, "that men fearing death may soon be upon them often wish to have an encounter with the fairer sex out of reasoning it may be their last chance - and furthermore, it could just be a way of ... Letting out the stress. I believe that is what yourself and Flynn claimed to be doing, Sir Bastion? Why could it not be the same for Karl, albeit a different method?
"Thus, I think, I have covered all of Obadiah's reasons. So yes, whilst I see he has a point, they are all relatively irrelevant, and pure concotions as a reason to ask for his head! Clearly I have put much more thought into this,"
he murmured sardonically, shaking his head.

"And now, of course, you want my reasoning for the allegation against Obadiah," he sighed theatrically. "Well, firstly, he stated that Karl may be a threat vampire or not, and that seems to me to be suspect. Why would be be a threat? To me, it suggests that Obadiah fears him for some reason; maybe because he has weapons and seems perfectly willing to use them. Could it be Obadiah wishes him out of the way so he can make a move?
"Beyond that, he wants to enforce voting. Whilst I am for everyone being able to have their day and put forward their views, if they don't wish to, they should have that choice as well. If only people certain of their views vote, we are more likely to get a correct result, not because everyone randomly dishes out a name - that will surely lead to people either deciding to vote for someone purely because they dislike them, rather than any real reason, or random votes. This could lead to a wide spread of votes meaning those who are guilty of being a vampire are much less likely to be condemned!
"I also find slightly suspect his claim of work; precious few can do what he claims to, and the skills are long in the learning - which wouldn't be a problem if he is an undead fiend, would it? Besides, no noble I know would hire anyone from a low-born background to do trusted work as he claims, and few would have access to a large number of nobles - they are more likely to be killed rather than leave with family secrets!
"Now, do you have any more damnable questions or remarks about approval? I do not need them, but to ahead!"

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Antonio, I offered much more points for voting for Karl than you offer for me. Your main point seems to be because I voted for him. Why should we not all vote for you as you voted first? I certainly don't fear him, I have killed many in my lifetime, and I can handle myself fine. I just don't act like an animal while doing it.
Many in this room have weapons I'm sure. My point is that Karl is, with his temper, possibly going to hurt someone. He has weapons, and is not afraid to use violence. Maybe he will combine the two? I am speaking for the safety of the majority, not just me.

I understand your points, you have a valid argument, and maybe I was too eager to vote. I understand that. I would much prefer you to talk and debate it rather than threatening each other with votes, they shouldn't be a weapon! However I will need to hear from the silent Karl before I retract the vote. You seem to be defending him massively, but I would hear him speak himself.

I suggested we enforce voting. I literally just asked, not even saying we should. I said "Should we make voting compulsory or not?" That is all. You clearly say no, so that is it. It was a question, not a voting offence surely? Which means you are actually voting for me because I voted Karl. In fact in your last speech you have completely changed your method. Originally you said you understood my reasons but not my idea about voting, now you are ripping apart my reasons. Why did you honestly vote for me? Because you are sure I am a vampire and Karl isn't? What is it about me that makes me so? I never meant forcing people to vote, I simply tried to encourage more to vote. It is unfair that a minority choose what happens to the group; we are a group and should all say.

I realise though you completely misunderstood me, so I will make it clear. To abstain is a vote. Everyone can abstain, but they need to say so, and give reasons likewise. This way we understand everyone's motivations, and can better understand who is a vampire and such. This just stops people hiding in the background.

I agree you have put much thought into Karl's defence. More then Karl I think?

And how dare you question my own life! It is mine, not yours. I am sixty four years of age, and know how the world works. I have forged contacts throughout the world, and yes, I am trusted. Trusted because over my years of work I have earned it. I am employed by nobles, if this makes you feel threatened, then please, spit it out, but don't ever question my life. Honour means a lot, more than rank.

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Bastion waved a hand airily. "It was a figure of speech, no more. Something as trvial as approval does not come into it, although your graceless reply leaves me doubting your words upon our initial introduction. Ah well, no matter.
"I have no problems with Karl's behaviour; each to his own, after all. And yes, a lover's comfort is a very reasonable stress management technique. And maybe you should have backed up your vote before you actually voted.
"However, I would like to say that Obadiah's reasons are far better than Markus and Kate's for voting for you, or Karl's for voting for Markus and Kate. Nobody else seems to have a problem with that.
"Finally, I was merely expressing surprise at your defence of Karl, as it is not exactly in concordance with your behavious thus far. Additionally, you showed no qualms with Karl's entirely unsupported vote on Markus/Kate. Though I suppose that this is understandable as she voted for you first. It's vampire eat man now.

"One other thing. Statistically speaking, unless the vampires outnumber us, which I highly doubt, everyone voting actually makes us more likely to find them. If only a few people vote, the vampires will be given more weight, as surely they are trying to mislead us at every turn."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Caleb's eyes widened in shock.
"Sorry, you were trying to suggest that I was a vampire? Then you did a very poor job. It appears to me that you have not explained your reasoning behind your vote. And since you seem to be such a big fan of providing reason for action please explain why. You say that I avoided your suggestions, yet I do not see how you made those suggestions in the first place. I think you are simply worried that I may have uncovered your true nature and are attempting to deflect attention elsewhere."

Caleb turned to Obadiah.
"Like it or not, those who rule do so because they were born into the right family. Hence my point that some of us are born to lord over others. It is how the world works. Your accomplishments, whatever they may be, will never change that. I am here traveling home from Altdorf, after meeting with the Emporer. The Lady Anita extended an invitation to join her for this lovely soirée and I accepted, a decision which now seems hastily made."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

"It makes no sense to me" Lucien said aloud "If Antonio was in league with Karl, and no offence is meant sir, (Turning to Antonio) surely he would have been better of changing his vote for someone else who had already been voted for, thus putting more pressure on them? It seems more likely it was more of a kneejerk reaction to me. Still Karl does little to defend himself."

"I was ready to vote but these latest developments have clouded my thinking" he said rising from his seat "maybe a small sherry will help."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Antonio looked at Obadiah, straight in the eye, and began to speak, calmly and clearly, but not in a condescending manner. “And yet I have explained how each and every point of yours can be put down to the fact that he is of a completely different culture and has been raised in a completely different environment than ourselves. And anyone is capable of endangering the rest of us with the weapons they carry. It means nothing - the ability is there in damned near all of us, I’m sure, the will to do so? I can’t speak of that.
“Yes, as I said, I have thought of this; I have done the same for most of you, asking why you would act in the ways you do. And how would you know that Karl hasn’t put thought into his own defense? Even now, he could be considering how best to rebut your accusation - I do think that we have made it difficult for him to intervene and speak his part. But then, of course, he should speak in his own defence - if he doesn’t, then by all means ... However, that doesn’t change the fact that I am genuinely suspicious of yourself.
“And in that case, where abstaining is a vote, surely there is no way someone could not vote, as merely by not accusing anyone else they would be automatically abstaining, thus rendering the entire suggestion of it irrelevant? In that case, I’m not sure why you suggested it in the first place!”

Antonio sighed and rubbed his temples gently. “I do not know whether you have realised this, Obadiah, but we are all questioning everything that everyone says. Your life is as open to speculation as the non-existent relationship between myself and Karl that you have suggested. Have we not already established that vampires are vastly intelligent and masters of deceit? I think I am perfectly within my rights to probe the story you have given, and your vehement refusal that anything you say is untrue is also telling. At least I have the grace to understand that you might not believe me and that is your own choice.” The noble then smiled graciously, shaking his head. “It does not threaten me in the least, I just feel that the story could be fabricated. I think I could tell you a lot more about the ways of nobles than you could tell me.
“I also understand about honour, but as far as I am concerned, I am being honourable - just because you don’t agree with my definition doesn’t make it any less relevant to this. Honour and rank will trump pure honour any day, Obadiah.”

Then Antonio turned to Bastion, and raised an eyebrow. “I believe I complimented your wares and regretted we met as we did. I do not see the relevance? Regardless, whilst I will not apologise, I shall tell you that I have been awake for over the last forty-eight hours and then have endured as you all have. My temper is beginning to fray, and you stated the point as if you being disappointed in my conduct had any influence over the matter. As for whether I should have explained before accusing him or not isn’t particularly pertinent either; it is done, that particular discussion is dead and gone.” He shrugged, and then ran his left hand through his hair, shaking it out and leaving it tangled. Another sigh passed his lips.
“Karl’s vote for ... Him? Her? Them? needed as much explanation as did Markus and Kate’s vote for myself - They are clearly troubled, and Karl isn’t as sophisticated as us ... Or, as we pretend to be.
“And whilst it may not seem to be in accordance with how I have acted, you have known me for less than twenty-four hours, and when I had been drinking, shocked by the man’s death and then being increasingly frustrated by being imprisoned here, with a creature amongst us! Surely you agree that it would be difficult to be sure it’s a true reflection of my nature, if it’s possible at all!”

Antonio frowned, and then shrugged at Lucien, evidently tired of speaking and generally exhausted. “I shall put this matter to bed once and for all - I am not in league with Karl; I met him as soon as the rest of you, although I had noticed him at the soiree earlier and wondered at his presence. Whilst I get along with the servants employed by my family, and admire them as much as I do any nobleman, I am prevented from having any social interaction beyond formalities with them by the society in which we live. As such, I do not know Karl, and nor are we friends. That may seem odd to some of you,” he said, looking pointedly at Obadiah, “But I refuse to be one of those who sees those society sees beneath me as morally beneath me.
“And whilst it may seem like a kneejerk reaction, I believe that I am justified in voting for Obadiah, and none of you can dispute my right to. I have explained my reasoning to a great extent, and I believe I have also nullified Obadiah’s reasoning for accusing Karl.”

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

"Antonio. You either failed to listen, or just ignored my point. I agreed with your arguments, and will be prepared to pull back my vote if Karl will but speak. As I said. I understand that he is part of a different culture, and that he hasn't been as suspicious as I originally thought. However I would like to hear him.

You also misunderstood me again. I was asking if it was a good idea, not forcing it. The idea was thus: That everyone should either vote, or explicitly abstain. Maybe the vampire is one of the many who are not saying much, just sitting back in the shadows and waiting. This way, everyone is encouraged to give their views on the matter. As you said yourself, everyone is suspicious of everyone, everyone has formed their own views, and it would help the humans, who are, I hope, in the majority here, work out more. Surely you can't be against that?

You say you are justified in voting for me. Is it for the voting thing which I have tried to explain, is beneficial for humans? Or for my actual vote, in which case you sir, are a hypocrite. I got worked up about you questioning my life for this reason: That I have told you a lot about myself. I used up valuable time talking, and it showed a basic level of trust. You haven't told us much about your background, Antonio. If we are going to question absolutely everything anyone says, no-one would say anything. I could choose to believe your story about being of noble birth is fabricated, but it wouldn't do much good.

The problem is any one person could argue a vote for anyone else, probably quite effectively. This is why we need more people. And as Bastion said, it is statistically favourable (for humans) the more who participate."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Bastion shrugged slightly. "For what it's worth to you, Antonio, I will impute it to tiredness and forgive you. It was a trivial matter anyway.
"However, I continue to wonder on the matter of Karl's vote. Forgive me if I am misunderstanding, but are you saying that because Karl is unsophisticated he is allowed to vote without reason? And that Markas and Kate can do so because they are, as you put it, troubled? This does not seem like much of a justification."

Bastion smiled and turned to Caleb. "Oho, I provided no reason, did I? Tell me, are you simply not listening, or are you purposely refusing to acknowledge the truth? Still in denial, are we?
In fact, if my memory serves me correctly, this is not the first time you have done so. Ah yes! Obadiah here propounded that you were a vampire, far less subtly than I did, and you entirely ignored it, instead throwing insults at him."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Karl finally stood up and limped over to the men. "I voted for the Kate because I have seen many a killer and monster hide behind the guise of madness and as I look upon them that is all I see. "

Pausing to take a drink from a mug sitting on the nearby table Karl continued " You say if I defend myself than you will retract your vote. If this is true then I wish to explain my willingness to threaten violence. You see in my experience a monster in hiding will be feeling skiddish and ready to pounce, all I was doing was rattling some peoples cages to see if they would lash out against me and drop their guard. "

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Obadiah turned as Karl joined the group.

"While some of your actions have been questionable, and I believe have given rise to doubt, Antonio has argued well for your well-being. Maybe he will argue for the well-being of everyone else voted for?" Obadiah directed this last remark at Antonio.

Obadiah spoke more forcefully:
"I will change my vote, and will change it thusly, however much suspicion it may arouse. I personally believe that Antonio, whilst he has said he has made enough points to condemn me, originally just condemned me on one sole idea. An idea about getting more people to interact. Why would you not want that? Your other two points were that I thought Karl was a threat."
Here Obadiah turned back to Karl. " No offence to you, sir. However Karl did to to hit someone, and has waved weapons at people. Tensions in this room are high and will only get higher, and combining weapons and anger, and someone will get hurt. I was trying to protect the majority.

Antonio's third point was that the story of my life was suspicious. Sir - as you said yourself, contradicting yourself in fact, that everyone's life is suspicious, and we shouldn't believe anyone. Why then have you not voted for everyone, and just me, if ourlives are equally suspicious.
You have missed one point. Why am I here, if my story is a lie, why was I invited?"
Obadiah here revealed an invitation and envelope from inside his cloak.

"I don't think that these reasons are enough to condemn me, but you seem to have an agenda to do so anyway. I think you are intelligent enough to not get away with the excuses you gave the other two, that they aren't as refined, or are troubled.
I basically repeated myself in my last two speeches, for you didn't seem to understand my point, but I think that was a cleaver ruse to get more suspicion on me, from those who aren't listening as carefully. For if you act as if I haven't defended myself, some people who have only heard the last few minutes will believe it.

Then there is this suspicious business with Karl. You clearly have something going on between you, but,"
Here Obadiah turned back to Karl. "it may well be one sided, I mean you no threat here Karl. For some reason you only defended him, not the others, which means, as you showed the ability to defend someone, you chose not to. Therefore you must have a suspicion that they are vampires, in which case why vote for me, or you must be a vampire yourself and defending Karl, who might well also be a vampire. Why else would you put your own neck on the line to defend a man you have only just met, but not defend the others, for example your fellow nobleman Caleb? I believe I have said enough. You are mightily suspicious Antonio, and I am truly sorry if you are human, but your actions seem to point otherwise.

UNVOTE: Karl/Johnny-Crass
VOTE: Antonio/Malochai

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Gregor had sat quietly, observing and eating. Finishing off his salad and downing a couple of glasses of water, he coughed politely.
"Antonio, at the moment the most suspicion appears to lie on you. While I deplore the tone of the proceedings getting heated, there has been hints of truth here and there. I don't claim to be able to identify them, but they are there nonetheless."
"You have been very vocal. You also have exhibited... interesting logic and a propensity to be reactionary. But I myself am vocal, there are those who have not even attempted to explain themselves and we have seen the dispositon of others to defend themselves."
"I am going to ask you two questions, and I want to hear honest answers."
He paused.
"Who are you working with? And who are you working for?"

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Caleb chuckled to himself as he heard Bastion speak.
"Again you try to skirt the issue and avoid giving a direct answer. Do you think us all fools, that we will not see what you are doing? Then just to make it clear I shall speak. You sir have claimed to want to be involved in conversation to search the character of those involved here. You cast your voice in to stir things up then refuse to answer directly when challenged. You jest of our situation, making light of life, as if you know you are in no danger yourself. You claim to value reason yet when asked multiple times to state your reasons you have not given any direct answer, instead dodging the question and trying to shift suspicion away from you. I think you do this because you fear that I have uncovered your true nature. I give you another chance to state clearly your reasons for suspecting me, as I have done for you. However, I think you shall not as you truly have none. My mind is mostly decided. You sir, are our tormentor!"

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Rising from his chair, Lucien departs from the table to go in search of something a little stronger to drink. After perusing the larger of the tables, he selects a bottle and exclaims "Aha!" to himself. #on his way back he pauses briefly to think by the blowfly harassed corpse. He fills his wine goblet to the brim with the rust coloured liquor and places the bottle in the middle of the table.

"Did I just hear Caleb vote for Bastion?" he said before partaking in his drink "That is very interesting."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Bastion sipped at his champagne. "Do I have to actually quote myself for you to listen? I have provided plenty reason, yet you continue to insist that I am skirting the issue. It looks like I am going to have to say this very clearly.
Not once, not once have you answered the accusations that you were a vampire. The only time you even acknowledged them was to make a warbling claim that I was trying to deflect attention! You are persistently avoiding the issue because you are afraid to acknowledge that it even exists. You refuse to argue your case because you cannot arguably do so. Whenever anyone accuses you, you do the only thing you are capable off: you lash out. Hence your retaliatory vote against me. Do not tell me your reasons are well thought out: Flynn here is guilty of the same things you accuse me off, yet you have barely batted an eyelid in his direction.
You are so far in denial it is hurting my eyes."

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

"Once more you avoid it. If you have once accused me of being a vampire, other than your reasonless vote, please quote yourself. Not once have you done so. The opportunity is here once more. Clearly state your reasoning. When you have done so I shall respond to those points. Please outline WHY you think I am this evil creature. Flynn has indeed made jests of our situation and I did chastise him for it. However he has not raised my suspicions in any other way. You have, as I have clearly stated. My vote is not retaliatory in the least. Or is it your logic that anyone who votes for someone who has voted against them must being doing so out of spite?"

RE: VAU IC: The Fangtastical and Arousing Tale of Anita Jacqueofff

Gregor put a hand on Caleb's shoulder as he passed him by, keeping his eyes on Antonio.
"Strategic Mishearing, penalty. Bastion said he found your inability to directly deny you were a vampire most peculiar, and hung upon that argument a lot of circumstantial evidence that on its own could be discredited but together makes a coherant argument pro-vampire. Pay attention to my questions to Antonio because you should be thinking up answers of your own."
