so I notice that our new lore attribute is to regain a wound like lore of life . I hope the gem of lamia is still in the book but I doubt it .

looks like we are the OP army . why cant they balance the game right. nothing is gonna be able to kill the coven throne what a load of bollocks. will be selling my vamps unless there are some weaknesses.

They sell more models this way. Besides, if the worst atrocity is the throne alone then you could always go without it.

Hi all

I've tried to read the Wind of Death it spell, thats what I found

"wind of undead is a magical vortex that uses the small round template. Once the template is placed, the player then nominates the direction in with Wind of Death will move. To determines how many inches template moves roll the artilery dice and multiple the result by 3. Any unit beneath or passed by the template takes D6 S3 hits for each rank XXX of the unit with no armour save allowed. If a roll on the artilery dice is a misfire place the template on the caster and roll a scatter dice and D6. The template moves a number of inches equall on the roll on D6 in the direction indicated by the scatter dice. If hit is rolled use the small arrow on the Hit XXX (dice). In either XXXXXXXX - 4 words (most likely it says about next turns) the Wind of Death moves a number of inches determined by rolling an artillery dice, in a random direction determined by rolling a scatter dice. If a missfire is rolled in subsequent turns the Wint of Death (not sure) dissapears and is removed. The last sentance states that bigger template can be used on a roll of 21. "

feel free to fill the missing words cuz I have completly no idea and let me know what you think about spell itself. I think its great vs armies with a lot of models

I really love the look of the new black knights, coven throne and Krell. The others are just ok to me. The worst to me are the vargheist/crypt horrors, but that's because I do not like the look of the ghouls we have now. I'm just excited that we finally have pictures of all the models...this is going to be a long three weeks of waiting. :(

What? Really?

I wish I could immediately understand the rules and point cost of a model just by looking at a picture of it. That's quite a talent you have.

Can you please tell me what the other models will be like? I don't want to get too excited by them if they're going to be OP or perhaps even UP.

I think I can make out the following from the lore attribute:

The Curse of Undeath (Lore Attribute)
When a spell from the Lore of Vampires is successfully cast, the wizard (or another friendly model within 12") immediately recovers a single Wound lost earlier in the battle.

So pretty much like lore of life attribute.

I just hope this means we'll still have a raising spell :zombie2:

The attribute might only useful for multi-wound models, which would give a rank-and-file raising spell a lot of room to play with. :)

So I wonder if were getting new zombies? since they're gonna look REALLY out of place with all this new awesomeness.

Also did anyone else notice in the corner of the pic with the black knights it says something like "turn to page 37 to see an army of the barrows using the black knights" I wonder if that means we can run an army without a vampire?

Who knows, May be Necro's again on Krell with his awesome.

In my eyes we need zombies, bat swarms, fell bats and spirit hosts, after that the army is neigh on perfect for models.
Give or take a few new characters.

I'm lucky in that regards, the bulk of my army dominates a case level in my local GW. :P

There is a possibility about the zombies along with the Heinrich Kemmler model, but I don't think it's likely.

The "Army of the Barrows" kinda sounds like a fancy name for "VC Army" to me. Although, that new Wight King will be fantastic to lead units of Grave Guard.

Dammit! this happened last year, I'm going away on the 14th of january :mad2: I'll probably build the mortis engine, looks a little more sinister even though I've got a sort of lahmian themed army.
Dissapointing that my favourite spell wind of undeath has been changed to something that seems rather weak.
It appears one of the 6 to cast spells is vanhels dance macabre. Targets a *** something about re-rolls, something about up to 8 inches, looks to be that it is now a boosted spell, not spamable due to "if he does" near the end like with other boosted spells.

Does it say anything about the Coven Throne being using a male vampire or anything about the von Carsteins (besides the upgrade kit)? I guess it's too early to know, but I really don't see anything huge and new like the Coven Throne for them.

EDIT: Nevermind, I jumped the gun thinking that a hard and fast system of Bloodlines was returning. Until then, I'll just plan on mounting the von Carstein banner at the top of the Coven Throne >:D

I would like to say in a very calm manner......YIPPEEEE, WAHOO, a hem, I mean to say, anyhow the models are nice looking now lets hope are rules didn't get hosed.

More members of The Sisterhood.....? Excellent! They look impressive.
I like all of the models though I have to say the ideas behind the Vargheists, Crypt Horrors and even the Hexwratihs show a lack of imagination.
"It's not quite a varghulf and not quite a terrorgeist..." Honestly, that seems like a weak concept, just making a smaller/bigger version of something that already exists. Werewolves would've been great, as would have golems or any manner of dark gothic creature.

Not sure if this has been shown yet (as there are 28 pages on this thread and I haven't read them all)

Found this over at heresy-online.

I won't post the pics in-line as they're quite hefty.
