First I primered it Bone from army painter's primer. Though doing a base coat of bleached bone would get the same effect.
there is a step you can do inbetween of praxil white if you wish to hit some highlighting on the bones. The pictured terrorghiest does not have this.
Second I washed it Devlan mud though It is now called earthshade and does not do the same trick as it once did. But it is close enough if you wash it twice.
Next I started the wing's chaos black
Then I gave them a light drybrush of Faded black then chardon granite is a good alternative too.
Yes you will cover things that you did not want too that is why you go back and fix them.
Next I did the skin on the beast, there is many alternatives what you could do here this is mine
base coated coal black from p3 necron abyss works good too
Next I drybrush the skin slaanesh grey then a heavy wash of badab black or nuln oil
This is my alternative skin formula to the above
Basecoated Black
Heavy Drybrush shadow grey
Light dry brush fortress or codex grey
Wash badab black
Then onto the Tears in flesh are blood red washed with bedab black wash. Then I sometimes go over this with my blood mix but just with the black wash looks good too. I also did the tongue with the same style
I did the claws again in bleached bone but for a ivory look do a sepia wash.
