In the grim future there is only war and despair.That is so evident in this lonely storm raven abandoned on the battlefield. With a blood angel still at the controls.



This was commissioned by a friend who plans to have me debase it. And make it appear stolen by the night lords.



He also plans to use it in apocalypse games as a stolen storm raven. Though I personally would love to do a wrecked one as terrain.

I didnt feel it would be fun but hey defacing the model is enjoyable and it looks rather stunning.



So the gun here looks empty with the lower half of the marine in there have me a idea. Mantic zombie spinal column.

Hey model porn the storm raven on its back landing gear spread



Then the unlucky gunner who was torn apart splattering blood everywhere. It’s hard to get blood splatter to show up right on a red model.



Again this model is far better in person then pictures.

Its my nurgle slime mix looks around it is a secret.

Its a custom mix of scorpion green and ard coat. I don't remember what the ratio was, that was so long ago and I am bad that if it isnt in my blog I never remember.

I like the progression of blending there, just seeing it WiP is nice.

I might show my friend who just started painting this as an example going from a more blocked-out colours to getting a smoother blend.

Looks great.

Although I always hated metallic paints :grave: I always liked the "Ceramic" colour schemes for the Necrons in their books :ghost:

So this is one of the undead rats from mantic. The Skelton looks alot like a dog so that is what my plan is with it. I was torn between a different flavor dire wolf and unit filler. In the end his base was too big so he became unit filler.

Sadly my want of using him as unit filler also died. He fits on a monster base nice, so im thinking a strange lookin vulghulf. Or for my barrow king army tomb scorpion.

After starting him yes I yield he is more rat. Reminds me of the rats of unusual size out of princess bride.



Except mine are missing hair.



So onto touch ups and the rock he stands on. Sadly I don’t have a base for him right now. But here he stands finished. My own r.o.u.s though mine is quite undead.

Trying to line the segments first to make the mini pop more. And enhancedthe tail gun. I lined each segment with black looks stunning in person in the picture however no justice is served
