Kids and the wife had an adventure today. The wife took the kids to run some errands and came back to discover that the ghouls had run by this. (A harmless bull snake)





The wife wasn’t so lucky. She saw it and it started to slither toward the door that the ghouls left open. So she threw her phone at it to distract it. It coiled up behind the snowshovel by the door. She tried to kill it with a shovel but luckily missed. It got away.

What is a hell knight some hall now ask. It’s a model for apocalypse 40k looks like this in the lords of battle book.





This is what my friend made planning to use the rules from the above book. There is really two of them. But one at a time shall we.

Another wip this one is different from most mine. I washed the silver druchi violet. Which did not turn out the way I had picture in my head. The picture does not give it the epic fail justice it should. Onto fixing the silver.

So next step was trying out a metallic purple I have. Here is how it looks. I like it more silver then I first thought but looks good.

Declates Crusade is where the as a symbol of solidarity crimson fists and black Templars exchanged iconography. Templars painted there left hand red and crimson fists painted a templar cross upon there right knee.





I will be added a squad of black Templars with red hand onto this project as well at a latter date. Awesome art work of both the armies icongraphy.

Today the elves have come to visit.



I knew it was all a trick

I’ve got a challenging commission. Alpha legion the traitors who may still be loyal.





Ill start with a basecoat of p3 exile blue.





Water down gw enchanted blue (a.k.a. Caledor sky) and layer the mini. Following that use highlights of enchanted blue.





Layer the high points with watered down teclis blue to give it a shiny look.





To complete the glossy look, use a thinned down coat of ‘ard coat.





Now basecoat the weapons with black, then do the metals on it chainmail or p3 cold steel.





Now we need our green on there. Basecoat the freehanded scales and hair snot green. Follow this up with a highlight of scorpion green or p3 necrotite green.





The eyes should be the same green as well. As should the hydra symbol.





So after feedback from the commissioner and other important folk I decided that I don’t really care for the ‘ard coat. Instead of redoing it I’m cheating and using a coat of lahmian medium. In the future I will simply skip the ard coat step in my tutorial.

Watching a movie about dragon hunters with my daughter, and they refer to a huge bone dragon as the eater of worlds. The wife turns to me and says “that sounds familiar and I can’t quite place it.” World eaters anyone?


She was actually working on a world eater rhino at the same time which made her facepalm when I pointed it out.

Well here we are again a trusty rhino of the world eaters upon my table. Soon it shall be ready to speed them across the battlefield. The name of khorne upon there lips. Or at least it’s a wip of it.

So here is a forgeworld dreadnought with kit bashed left arm and standard las cannon right arm.

World eater rhino which is a problem in ways. The classic look is blue like this inspiration shot.





A beautiful look though I feel far to close to ultra marines and the tanks being a single color will not match my preheresy troops. Now on forgeworld they have some two tone vehicles. Which is what I am going to be doing. At least to see how it turns out for now. So let the wip of the mighty rhino begin.

Now the maiden of light which is what everyone thinks of when they hear the world angel.





The first wip of the soon to be beautiful angel.





The truth of angels are they are like puppets and have no strings to hold them down.

Thanks Kassil! Though I complained about the difficulty of the alpha legion dreads, they really let me get the hang of the layering that came in so valuable on the angels.






This is freya which is freys sister yesterday’s update.





So the first wip of the second sister.





After a hard week this bit of humor makes me smirk a bit.





This sister is dressed darker so here is the basecoat on her cloths.





So I used this photo for the black clothing inspiration.





So onto the highlights of the black cloth. I also did the shading on the legs and other details.

I have never painted a cryx jack before so that means time for a test model so here we go.



Yes for I will go down fighting the hoardes of zombies.



Here we are at a wip shot time. I must say he is coming along nicely. Doing him slightly similar to my black Templars for the grey black metal look.



All peace has been built upon the bones of the brave. Few are honest about it those who are, get called evil. Food for thought there.

Now the finished Hell Jack. Which was incredible fun to paint.
