Hi santawraith, i really like the metal effects on these crons..
if i may be so bold, the cloak on the lords could really lift the model as being unique, if you drybrushed/highlighted them a lighter red and perhaps used a wash on the recesses, the model would stand out alot more.

Oh yes we just started on my wives beloved tomb kings again. Tomb Kings and vampire counts are the first armies she ever started to paint. We both are excited to see the new models.

IMHO the archer is a little to white for me. I would add another light devlan mud was to make him look less 'clean'.

I agree on him being a little white I am wanting them to turn out more bone colored but not dark if that makes sense. I use sepia on them so I am thinking a second sepia wash on my next set would help.

i agree with cuzzy the arms and legs look fine its the rib cage and some of the contours on the skull that just need a slightly heavier wash which will help define the skull

painting the new Tomb guard? as in the new models excited to see this!

No unfortently its not the new ones not yet they are not released until may 7th

I have 4 tomb guard regiments actaully
the old gw ones
A mummy hoarde from crocodile games
a unit of Reaper tomb guard with command
Plus plans to add the plastic ones I just preordered.

As for the skeleton archer I think I have fixed it with the ones I just finished. Thanks for the advice it is always appretiated it. I did go with just a heavy wash instead of two washes it seemed to of helped.

are you getting some of the new GW models though? will we see a sphinx in here some time? looking good here Santa. My only problem is that the wraps on that last mummy look very similar to the bones of the skeleton.

My new skeletons I just did are alot diffrent in color the mummies are older figures I use diffrent paints now on my linen's.

Yes I shall be adding the new items they are already preordered for me.

I did these tau tanks over a 2 years ago and the owner finally paid for them and gave me permission to show them off. They look good I think for earlier work's. I like my new tau style better though.
