Alright so I failed in getting work in progress shots to this point. But here is the order of operations. Basecoat hormagaunt purple, drybrushed slaanesh grey, washed druchii violet.



Here’s how it looks now.



It will look purple.
Of course.

Beholders are serious business guys.





When you say beauty is in the eye of the beholder…

Huh, just realised that I've never included a beholder in a D&D campaign. How odd

And the 'eye of the beholder jokes' are genius



How did you get the 'slightly dirtied but not too eye drawing' look on the Minotaur's horns? It looks too subtle to just be a wash

You're right, it is more than just a wash.
I painted it bleached bone, then washed it lightly with mud.
But wait, that's not all!
I then used watered down bleached bone to layer up to pure bleached bone at the very tip. If you look closely at the model itself, there's abut five or six dimishing layers of bleached bone from base of horn to tip.


Medusa. She needs to be painted like the medusa from the old clash of the titans.









Alright. Can do.

Nice Medusa! I think the drybrush on the scales really work, but maybe the more smooth skin could look better with an extra highlight? Just to make it stand out more.

The skin was supposed to be the same greenish shade as the rest, thats why I added the extra shadows with painting in the shadows with flesh wash.

Liam Rhiannon, the werewolf I converted from a hoards mini.
I could go on and on about Liam, and the trouble he’s been in.



Liam is a character at Souls, a post apocalyptic werecanine rpg set in Nova Scotia.Though currently he resides at Unwritten, a rpg set in Michigan.
Another WIP of him.



His silky coat is mottled shades of browns and rusty reds. His eyes are a crisp amber. He is around average size for a grey wolf, which is predominantly what his heritage is. He prefers his optime form, and loves wearing black jeans, and a black tanktop. He’s begun working out on his own, to develop his muscles better. He has a gold hoop in his right ear, and a claddagh tattoo above his left wrist on the outside. He has scars hidden under his thick fur, mostly on his chest.

Here’s a portrait a friend of mind by the name of Nat drew of Liam.



Here is Liam’s current WIP. He’s been an experiment in layering.

And they look perfect! Remember that I'll take care of the flocking but I do appreciate that you are painting the bases just so they present neater. If you want to sell some of your zombie dwarves I could maybe put them to use taunting my son. Because we all know how fun it is to taunt your children when you play games with them. :tongue:

Soo what color do you want the bases cause I realized my mistake and repainted them black.

Let me know what color and then all you need to do is base them.
