The world eaters are painted after the old style world eaters, back when they first brought out the preheresy colors, not the later editions where they edited colors and even history. Oh the joy of loyalists writing their history. Most of the world eaters today are a dirty white, rather than the clean white of the original scheme.

There is more definition to them then is apparent in the pictures, there is blue lining, and the white is actually several shades of white that makes up the body. In person you can see it, in the pictures you cant. I like them this way.

Thank you for the compliments on the khorne termi, I'm pretty pleased with how he turned out..

So I’ve been working on a decent sized project. I have two nid spore pods, two -gaunts, and one genestealer.

The pods first. I imagined the pod being soft and fleshy, so here we go.

So often we forget the world eaters are not some barbaric legion. But adeptus astartes trained to kill and yet able to adapt to situations that would leave mere mortals in dread.

I read the other day on Facebook that world eaters never used assault troops with jump packs. Which is funny due to all the art that shows them with the

And the next assault veteran is done. Plan to use this set to double as vanguard veterans, though I am sure mostly they will be fielded as regular assault marines.



And now I see all the touch up he needs.

Alot of my inspiration for the world eaters come from the series Spartacus.



So much of Angrons background is taken from this historical figure. It was one of the appeal aspects of my chosen army. As I loved growing up reading of history. Spartacus was a favorite part.

Here is a scene from the Kirk Douglas Spartacus film I grew up watching.



So now moving on here is another assault marine. Before my world eaters I always poked fun at those who had bare headed marines. Who ask for snipers to head shot them. For in reality they would be choice soft targets. But luckily the game does not reflex this weakness and they look awesome helmet less.



This last assault marine had a helmet. I reused old bezerkerhelms with the razed khorne icon shaved down. Gives a almost ancient look to his armor.



Now for a grand exit with a mini I nicknamed the hammer.

Inspiration for him was a unarmed gladiator on Spartacus who was training with a large hammer. I plan in the future to add other exotic weapons I give the entire army a more gladiator feel to it. Sadly I can’t find a picture of him to share.



So while painting him my color choices made him appear very much like a alternative clothed captain America.

Silver dragons (aka “shield dragons”) are the second most powerful of the metallic dragons, and are true friends to all. The silver dragon enjoys the company of humans and elves so much that it will often take the form of a human or elf and live among them for the majority of its life.



The silver dragon is regal and statuesque, an unusual trait they offer is the love of human dining, and will use the ability of alternate form to take part in large feasts. Silver dragons employ a breath weapon of extreme cold similar to that of white dragons. They also have a second breath weapon, a cone of paralyzing gas.
Here is the base coat.


Unlike the gold or bronze dragon, the silver dragon does not usually go out of its way to bring justice on the world. Instead, it waits for others to ask them for help.



She’s finished. I am very pleased with how she turned out.



But just incase it isn’t a silver dragon you hear about, just remember….

This centaur presented a welcome challenge on blending horse flesh and maiden flesh to present a seamless meld.

Two dragons slain by a fearsome warrior, a mother and her youngling. Years go by, and the flesh rotted off the bones, leaving just the terrible sight of a large skeleton curled around the smaller but identical one.

Of the twelve Zodiac signs, the Virgos are the busiest. Don’t confuse that with taking on the toughest jobs or the most responsibility.

I’ve been asked several times to write a tutorial on the star effect. So that’s really the focus of today’s post.

I start with a base coat of GW necron abyss.



Now I drybrush a few spots with p3 cygnar blue base. I used an actual star picture I inspire the general shape of what will become the galaxies in my star field.



Here’s one of the pictures I used to inspire the shapes and coloring.



Next, over the cygnar blue I drybrush p3 arcane blue. Leave some of the blue peeking around the edges.Ignore the light color in the lower right, I forgot to get a picture of the arcane blue.



Alright, now drybrush a layer of p3 frostbite.



Now using the GW blue GLAZE (not the wash) give it a heavy coat of blue glaze. I can’t not stress hard enough DO NOT USE blue wash. You will be disappointed with the results. Let it dry totally.



Now come stars. I like to use three pastel colors, a white, a yellow, and a blue.The white is p3 menoth white highlight, but GW pallid wytch flesh would work.



The yellow stars are done in GW dorn yellow. Don’t over do it, you still have one more set of stars.



Remember frostbite? Use it again for your last set of stars.



Now use GW ‘ardcoat to finish it and pull it together.



So now that the tutorial is done, ill show off the finished miniature.

This is the thoughts of our wonderful loyalist friends, after chaos showed them how to die.

I was there man chaos everywhere we went through the breach we lost Mac, Lucky, lefty, and Johnson, hell Johnson just had a baby, never even got to meet her.Poor little girls gotta grow up without a daddy now man… I send her and her mom flowers everyday on the anniversary of his death,I was there man i know I seen its….

The brotherhood of the knife was the cultists who were attached to the word bearers at calth. They had great success in the initial attack. But reportedly got wiped out in latter parts of the battle.



Brotherhood of the knifein Colchisian was Ushmetar Kaul, literally translated as sharp edge by which false reality may be slit and pulled away to reveal god.


Funny as some who attacked calth had antheme blades to cut the fabric of reality to open warp portals.Which leads to the idea that some may of escaped to fight again.

Thanks they were a commission for a friend.


Cultists always keep there mistress close. To inspire or punish them as needed. Much like a commissioner in the loyalists armies.There mistress keeps them in line.

So we started with a spray of chaos black, then basecoated ork hide shade.



Now we drybrush waagh flesh.



Highlight with skarsnik green, then wash bieltan green.Chain mail accents. The short warrior is mine, the tall one is what I should be matching.



Give the silver and bone a wash if mud. Lightly wash the silver with green. And done!

He was cool but could not decide if he was a plague marine or a chaos warrior. Looks so close to mark 2 armor.

I am only glad that the warriors match so closely.

That they do, the only difference really is the highlighting as he has done most his by laying the edges by doing all his brush strokes down with little paint on the brush.
Easy to do once you see how.

he has, one inside the other and over the top in places but thats all part of preference, the leg armour is done the same as yours but the repeated stroke highlighting is very visible on the front of the helm.
