That Necron force turned out great from the junk pile of peices you got in the mail! Just curious..what is considered 'core' or 'troops' in that army? I assume 40K still has a minimum core requirement?

That's crazy that armies can have such a distribution; It really appears like the ratio of "Big Impressive Units" to "Chumps" is way off from where I would figure it to be.

I feel like when I played 40k, it was almost pure troop choices :ghost: (Note: I may have been retarded and bad at the game, as I am with WHFB)

Looks good though, good luck packing that all up safer than they did

(That looks like it'd take up so much space :zombie: )

Thanks guys.

And Tawg his was shipped just thrown in a box without padding so the models rubbed and bounced off each other. I ship with excessive amounts of bubble wrap and packing peanuts on top to remove empty space. Hell drake is in his own box for his protection and is packed the same. Then I put him on the bottom of first box so all ships together.

The guy who I painted for is a power gamer, so he is seeking advantage and not fun games. Most my 40k forces are infantry backed with support. But over half are infantry ussually basic troops too.

Ah I see, so a totally "Fun" army, surprised it has chaos cultist, those seem like they would be trash units :Vampire1:

I was just looking at 40k, what with the new Tau (God those new Mega-Ultra-Mecha-Suit-Neo-Kill-Bots, so cool); The Dark Eldar really look like something I'd wanna get into, as far as models go, those "Pyramid Head"-esque guys, and the flesh-bending mutant-building Haemonculus, I love those super grotesque units for some reason. Not really sure why :ghost:

Once upon a midwinter day I did these as a commission, recently I bought them as the owner wished them no more.

Now to do touch ups and fix any damage. Soon they shall sing of battle once more. They also got new wash to enhance them and a few other changes

That's not bad lookin'; It's from the Reaper line I assume? They make plenty of great random things you can throw into an army, as long as you're not being forced to follow the GW only rule :zombie:

I have been looking at this snake-lady for my own WoC army actually. For the same purpose, a Slaanesh Warrior/Mage. I think the model is larger than a normal 25mm base, which is great, because I'd love to portray it as a champion with a Hell-steed, or other which ever mount; Seems to me like a giant snake would probably move pretty fast.

Cool stuff though.

yes slaanesh do favour assymetric.
but its only the last version of daemonettes that have 1 titt, the earlier ones had 2...or more.... juan diaz daemonettes are best made imo, but parents buying their kids models didnt quite approve on those

Some models have even up to 6 boobs when we are talking slannesh.

I feel blood is too overused on minitures, I prefer most my blades clean and shining like in most movies.

Some of them end up with blood as it enhances the model I feel on this one it would not.


The beast of middenheim once a great noble cursed to live life as a beast. Hiding in the catacombs his days filled with draining the blood of skaven and other less desirable things.



Speaking of vampires a strigoi is what a vampire should be not sparkling.



One day he ventured out late in the evening. Catching a unaware lady of the night he drained her of blood. It was like a fine wine and he craves more.



And this is what vampires really are



A brute strong ugly a animal, yet a efficient killing machine who butchered his way through middenheim. Until he disappeared without a trace, yet still the stories of his horror haunt the land to this day.

Nice looking creature. The dynamic leaping forward to rip your face off pose works really well. Did you do the skin with washes? Also, did you sculpt the base or is it resin?
