This is how I intend them to come out somewhat.
So here is the first one done,
Yes like this well when they lived
Now add stripes over the neutral colors. I used Mephiston red
Finally I highlight the lighter stripes with ceramite white
Done sunken in eyes and all
Stipple the area to be rusted with dark flesh
Follow that with a stipple of Ryza rust technical dry
Finally stipple lightly with leadbelcher to simulate where rust flaked off
Then finished

I drybrushed it with evil Sunz scarlet
It's been given a thorough wash of carroburg crimson
Dents and dings are simple. A stipple of an appropriate metal. I chose iron breaker today
Result
Thin down abaddon black and paint on even squares. Don't worry if they aren't perfect you can fix them when you begin filling in the squares.
Fill in every other square with a thin layer of abaddon black. It may take several layers.
Finally fill in the lighter squares with ceramite white.

Later the squig with evil Sunz scarlet
Layer the squig with wild rider red
Fill in the mouth and eye sockets with abaddon black. Pick out the teeth and claws with p3 menoth white highlight. Give the frill on too of it's head a wash of druchii violet. Add pupils with a small dot of p3 sulphuric yellow.
Layer it totally with a slightly thinned Russ Grey.
Using a fine detail brush wash the recesses with agrax earthshade very carefully.
Using a fine detail brush edge the armor edges with a thinned fenrisian grey
Done as a blood maw
Paint from the muzzle to the tail with zandri dust
Drybrush Rakarth flesh over the zandri dust
Add a streak of black down the back
Add a wash of agrax earthshade
After that you just do individual markings and finish up the details like this all these three were started like above.

Layer the ax with blue horror edge paint
The heart of ice is a dark color so to simulate that I used a glaze of blue on the center, on either side of the handle
Layer the edges where an ax would be sharp with ceramite white, leaving the blue showing in the recesses
Finally give the ice a layer of 'ardcoat.
Wash the blade with nuln oil.
Drybrush the sword with ironbreaker. You can give te runes an extra highlight of ironbreaker around them but it isn't necessary
