Oooh, nice. Whenever an old school undead model is posted on the internet, I get a spider-sense style tingle. Looks great, one question though, why did you put the horse head on the ox? I stuck with the original, I liked the undead oxen thing.

The original head is long, long, lost. You can blame my years of moving about, lugging a cardboard box from place to place, for that.

I bunged an old head on it as it seemed fitting.

Hi everyone
I am new here and I recently finished my zombie horde standard bearer and wanted to share my work, so here it is. Beware, the pic is large (6000x4000). That is because it is created from several pics taken during sculpting and painting.

And something about the model itself
Zombies are bit converted using green stuff and even my hair (the disgusting thing that goes from the right zombie's hand to his mouth). The cross is made from earsticks (sorry, english is not my mother tongue, but I hope you get it ),Skeleton was cutted and grinded to fit this position. Horse skull is from skeleton banner, left and right iron endings are from skeleton's flails and flags, rope around skeleton's ankles and stakes in his hands (hard to spot, but yeah, they are there) are made from green stuff. Flags are hand painted

Thank you! I don't know exactly. About a week, but I painted only in the morning and again in the evening. The only thing I know exactly how long took are the emblems. The dragon took me 3 hours and the skull 2 and a half

I like it, made me think about the American Memorial day statue where they are pushing a flagpole up.
I have not tried to make a banner out of putty yet but you inspired me to try.

I hear that zombies are fairly rubbish in combat so I tried to have my guys reflect that i.e. falling to pieces, not many weapons). :zombie:

Robiton, those are great. The front rank in the first two pics in particular are a highly accurate representation of zombies who have just fought a round of combat against anything.

I think zombies are great fun to paint as you can be creative with how you put them together. I got a lot of inspiration from this site.
