Whoa! Shang Tsung!

THIS! Damn! I KNEW she reminded me of something! Yeah! ;D
Very cool Minty, I saw her in your plog already, and I really really like the idea and execution! Makes me wonder how you'd do a corpse cart with balefire or maybe the aura of a ME. I think there is room for whipping energy tentacles or something ;)

Aye, that's the inspiration I had in mind. Tsung was always my favourite in every MK game (and film, for that matter).

Lately I've been considering taking things a step further. My army is Estalian and when I get around to spirit hosts, I'd always planned on picking up some historical-mini conquistadores from somewhere and painting them as ghosts.

Now, I'm wondering if I should use Warhams models - those of the armies I fight most often (and a Witch Elf). The souls that Calliste has stolen.

Shang Tsung had the power not only to steal souls, but to make thse he'd taken fight for him, too.

Just sharing some pictures. If you find them of interest, more will be taken.

Thanks, Theerten. The armor plates were painted with black base, then middle brown, then red and hightlighted the pieces with pale yellow. Later I washed it all with brown and finally a red wash only for the lights.

Wow, I like the work that's been posted lately. I'm just now trying to get back into my VC. I will try not to be such a stranger.

I recently discovered a colleague of mine gifted me an OOP Bastet and Neferata model (among the other stuff he gave me) and I finally got around to painting it.
Sorry for the poor quality of the photos.

I tried my hand In converting a 'Strigoi' BSB as I'm currently working towards a Strigoi themed Army.

Also, a what's a Strigoi Army without a Ghoul King?

Again, I'm really sorry for the quality of the photos, I desperately need a better camera.
And a decent photo booth... and Lighting... :I
Just felt like flaunting my stuff. Haha.

The dread lord Vladimir on foot, for those occasions where he chooses to accompany his infantry to battle, or where his mount is killed out from under him. I created this model using the same Zombie Dragon rider for the torso and arms, and used the winged vampire lord legs. This required a bit of cutting, carving and greenstuffing but the result is a model I'm very happy with.

I cut the ribbed armour plates from the zombie dragon rider legs, and used them to cover the worst of the hacked at parts of the legs. I used some greenstuff to fill the gaps created in this process. I also greenstuffed a patch of chainmail over his backside. He's still not finished yet, there are some small details that need to be painted but he's mostly done.

Hi everyone,

this is my first post here after signing up earlier. I've visited this site so many times that I thought it was about time that I signed up to say hey to you all!

In keeping with the post title, here's my Strigoi Ghoul King. Don't get me wrong; I'm not entirely sure about fielding this guy in place of a regular fighty Vamp lord, it was just a conversion idea that I had and wanted to share it with you.

I based the entire concept on the image of the Strigoi Ghoul King from the 8th Edition VC army book, as well as the Vargheist imagery from the same book. After a few days of modelling and re-sculpting, I then started work on the paint job! If I was to field him, the Fly rule would come under his Vampire skills which is why I opted to model the wings on to the chunky guy.

Thanks and I look forward to speaking with everyone in the near future!

@FallenDown: Very cool, an original idea  I guess even the denizens of Middle Earth are not safe from vampires hey :konrad:

Haha, you're right, nothing is quite safe from the undead. Thanks for the kind words

So I needed a vampire on a nightmare with a lance for a Battle Brothers event. My boyfriend and I did some internet searching and saw that someone had used the vampire off the zombie dragon and put it on a chaos horse. I liked the look of it a lot, and through Bits O World we were able to get the parts to put together our own! He would not stay attached to the horse, so eventually I just greenstuffed his butt to it.
