You may be able to guess straight away where I am going with this.

I love Sisters of Battle as a army and love marines, having just started a Black Templar force I would like to take them as allies which I have been holing off on because I was waiting for their now book and models to no avail so far.

However starting a small force I need the rules which GW will not post or let me buy because they don't understand the concept of needing rules for armies.

So can someone please for the love of the Emperor please link me to or tell me where I can find their WD update rules before I go insane?

Ask around your friends. I am sure someone might have the two "out of print" white dwarves. They sold out of the copies very fast. Ebay is too much for the codex, and people know it. Like 100 bucks starting bid for the one without the rules. I got a copy of the codex a friend made a pdf for me. Send me a pm if you can't find it any other way.

As for sister of battle update, and models. I guess they have had plastic sister molds now, and some new models. I got to see a few sneak preview views for a couple years now. Also the farseer rumors have them slated as a summer release. As to what summer release we will not know. As games workshop makes more money by holding off rumors and stuff prior to releases.

As for Sisters of Battle. The options are flamers or melta guns. Both in abundant quantities. You can not go wrong with about 30 ish bolter babes. Then a Saint Celestine, and Jacobus. I am sure you are ready to drop some serious cash on them. Best bet is to get them used, like badly painted lots off ebay and give them simple green baths once you get them. Also check your PM.

Yeah. It is completely silly that they publish rules for something and then not release them in some form or another for others after the fact.

I almost never buy White Dwarf! In fact, in the last two years, the only WDs I bought were the two that had the Sisters codex in it. :innocent: Because, I figured that it could be a while before an actual codex release, and who know how long until they publicly release those WD rules?!?!

I would think that one or the other option should come soon-ish.. but, you never know.

WD's have become better, now its more of a collecting instead of gaming magazine so it has allot more in the way of great models and great conversion and kit bashing ideas.

Well I have been told Black Templar's are due in 14 months (You heard it here first!)
Son if you can tie them to sisters as they are such a close army we may be looking a year and a half.

I just wish they sold the rules on laminated cards or would send them out at request if you paid for the post. :(

I agree. I wonder how much they lost in sales, since the White Dwarf codex for Sisters of Battle. Also the entire line being direct order only also has to put a dampener on it. I really do enjoy the look of the models myself. They where popular in 3rd edition when Witchhunters was out, and the models where able to be stocked.

I had a friend who played sisters a long, long time ago (right as they were released) and just got back into the hobby, saw the white dwarf codex, saw the other codex's, and quit the hobby again.

I agree with your friend on that The hidden one. Seems that they where given a bone really. Guess they had to when they took all the inquisitor stuff and gave it the Grey Knights, along with Grey Knights bathing in sister blood. The rumor is they are supposed to have a summer release. Now who whens that will be. 2013, 2014, 2015, and my guess more like 2020.

Yeah, never quite understood how sister's got a worse backing then black templars, I mean, what is special about another marine chapter that is slightly meaner then the others?

The amount of hate they have, they I would dare say is one of the old is not the oldest second founding chapter, They still use champions and they are also the largest chapter, as they are always on crusade and recruit along the way and have limited communication no one knows how many of them their are in addition to them doing what they want, they dictate what they do, not the high lords of Terra.

All that said and done a joint Templar/ Sisters codex would be nice, a crazy church force.

Yeah, but wolves don't really listen to much of what the high lords ever say, and ultra's are also really big. Anyway, I don't personally like them very much.

The Ultra's are Chapter sized though, even if there were planning heresy in the 31st millennium and Horus beat them to it, it just means that the Ultra Marines do nothing but guard most of the time where other chapters destroy the foes of mankind actively seeking them out or defending from them.
Lets here it for a 10,000 year long crusade! xD

Sisters of battle models are still my favorite 40k stuff by far. With the exception of the dark vengeance chaos stuff and dark angels. Too bad this whole line is metal right? It is tough to convert stuff from them.
