Good progress so far, but a few improvements to make on the skull imo.
The reason it looks strange is that it is not anatomically correct.
1. The eyesockets are too small. With the size you have now you'd be perfectly fine if the skull had skin on it. The hole in the bone is far bigger than what you see of it on the outside.
2. A nose mostly consists of cartilage (<-sp?). That means that the hole in the skull is relatively flat with only the "root" standing out a bit. Also it is only one linked more or less triangular hole, not two separate.
3. You're right about the lower jaw, it starts far more up the skull. What I mean is that it is more attached to the side of the skull than to the bottom of it. Just look some pictures up on google.
Still a really good start, I personally am not brave enough to sculpt whole models from scratch. Very impressive.
