I have now started a showcase thread where I will post finished models along with fluff. It can be found here.

The Von Kerryathe Legion

This is in the hope that I will be pushed to finish units more regularly instead of running so many WIP projects at the same time.

I do have a bad habit of moving onto the next thing just before I finish the last. It's time to put an end to this.

So I have set myself the impossible task of completing three units in one night to put in my showcase.

These are all units that I have started but never finished.

These include my nomad raiders, spirit hosts and my black coach.

Since the spirit hosts are going to be the most paint and glue intensive I think I will begin with these. That way I can complete little side tasks while things dry and cure. I have to build 6 spirit host bases from scratch and then get them base coated so that the entire unit is at the same point in the painting process. Then I will use the spirit host painting technique that by now you are probably all familiar with. I am going to take New WIP shots throughout this since the last ones could have been better.

Second on my list are the nomad horsemen. I have enough shields cast for the unit of 20 warriors I am building but they could take weeks to finish. So I will take 10 of these shields for my raiders. They need the edges cleaned and filed holes need to be drilled through them to accommodate the spikes (which are cut from the tips of drawing pins). They are going to receive a paint scheme as simple as the warriors themselves. Chaos Black base, Lich Purple details and Dwarf Bronze trim washed of course with some Badab Black. Once that is done I will go into static grass mode. While the models themselves are complete in this respect their movement tray has not yet received the same treatment. So I will do this alongside the flocking of the spirit hosts which by this point should be dry.

The Black coach really doesn’t need a great deal of work to get it finished. Some small details here and there need to be picked out and I want to try some washes on the metals.

Then a spray or two of Purity Seal.

Hopefully by this point I will be able to take completed pictures and upload them for all to behold (You may have to wait for fluff). Then Tomorrow I am going to Finish some grave guard and maybe some ghouls.

Hey Seth. been a lurker here for a short while though I never thought VC would ever interest me. It's actually your diary that kept me here and ever since following your diary my own chaos army has gotten further and further. I guess I'm trying to say you are really inspiring and allmost making me want to start VC myself :)

That is amazing. :D Field a Wraith unit that size. I would actually give you excess points to play against it. =P That just makes me smile and laugh with glee. ^^

Though, granted, seeing that thing coming at me and knowing that they're all ethereal is a little...unnerving. Like a scene from a horror movie(Or a Monty Python spin...).

Awesome! :D

well seth you dont do things in half measures ill tell you that

impressive work
20 spirit bases plus atila the hun esque raiders!
keep the pics flowing

Great models Seth. I agree with the others, the super-size Spirit Host looks great, very Return of the King.

Liking the mounted skellie as well, the pose is nice, looks like he is about to chop off someones head.
