Now I feel that I want to complete my own cart... your's is looking way better than the GW one.
I'm sure you'll add some weathering to the wood (those round'n smooth edges looks a bit out of place...).
What kind of Creature(s) is (or are) pulling the cart?

Work in progress shots.

Great update (hint hint Boo!), I love the dynamic poses you five your units and the bases you do for them add a lot to them as well.

Can't wait to the the CC finished.........

Yes, great addition with the CC! I love the Army and how it has come together. How much more will you be adding to the Legion?

All but 2 models are now purchased and on their way.

I decided to grab everything I need now before the prices go up in November.

The army will stand:

Lords & Heroes:

Vampire Lord Ilsabet Von Kerryathe
Lady Mara Von Kerryathe

Sarris of the Blade (Handmaiden / bodygaurd of Lady Mara)
Kyle of the Shadow (Spy / assasin of Lord Ilsabet)

Wight king Krane Black Crow (Kerryathe battle standard bearer)

Farseer the Necromancer
Maric his acolyte

Core:

3 units of 49 skeletons with hand weapons and shields. (all with full command)
-Her Majesties axes
-Her Majesties morning stars
-Her Majesties swords

2 units of 35 skeletons with spears and shilds. (both with full command)
-Men at arms of the Black Grail.

2 units of 60 zombies. (both with full command)

2 corpse carts

2 units of 20 ghouls (one of which will include the ghast; Krothgore the one eyed.)

2 units of 4 bat swarms

1 unit of 10 dire wolves

Special:

4 units of Grave gaurd (all with full command)
-2 with hand weapons and shields
-2 with halberds and shields

1 unit of 15 Black knights (full command)

6 fell bats

1 spirit court : 6 bases of spirit hosts

Rare:

1 Banshee
9 Wraiths

St. Vidgeous' Black Lions. Knights of the black grail. (Counts as blood knights)
-Standard bearer
-3 knights
-and vidgeous himself.

1 Black coach

Just for fun:

1 zombie giant.

1 zombie dragon.

1 screaming skull catapult.

I have everything I need to finish this list save for one black knight (I seem to have misplaced one) and one more wraith.

That would dwarf my army, we demand more pics!! I am looking forward to seeing your zombie giant though, I do have an idea to convert one, but I never seem to get round to it.

This is what I have been busy doing in preparation for the arrival and construction of my last units. So I cut this post out of a previous topic and edited it to fit here simply because I wanted this tutorial to be shown here in my own thread:

I place magnets on the bases of my miniatures to keep them where I want them. So I had to find a way to place some kind of ferrous metal in the base of the tray.

I take the new movement tray kits and use the base part to find the size I need for the required unit. Cut this shape out of a piece of thin card and the bottom of a biscuit tin (with tin snips). Glue the pieces of card and metal together and glue on the plastic side pieces. Then I cut slices of plastic from the excess bottom plate and glue them around the inside edges to get rid of that extra space (because I don't like or need it). Then paint and flock it to match the unit.

This also leaves you with lots of great sheets of plastic that are ideal for terrain.

Example: Skull, movement tray, and 4 spear heads.

This was actually an experiment to see how I could make a small water effect without paying through the nose. The stone and skull are not finished

I recently purchased a bretonian men at arms kit and of course the giant kit.

I LOVE EXTRAS!!!!

Sure we have our gravestones and our arrows....

The Bretonian spru has a snail! A SNAIL!!!

There are so many awsome little extras on the two sprus that I decided to have some fun with my fell bat bases. I like to model things on the bases of flyers to give the impression that they are flying over things. So here is what I have so far.

Snail crawling up fallen tree branch. Snail from Bretonian sprue, tree branch cut from one of the optional giant clubs and rocks from the beach:

Chaos herdstone cut from giants hand:

Axe in tree stump from men at arms sprue:

Peasant from giant sprue diving for cover:

(Still working on the exact pose)

Something for the forum quotes ! :D

Very nice poses in my opinion. I'd love to see them painted.

What tool do you use to make the GS'ed fur?

Wow! My first ever quote! Yay! :D

I use the standard gw sculpting tool. I am not really very good at sculpting. I just make it up as I go along.

Hey that's why you have to just keep on it. I get better every time I pick mine up. Who knows what you can do if you just keep working with Greenstuff!? I would love to see those painted. The fell bat bases look great. How will you paint your now infamous snail?

I love that your bases are small dioramas, especially like the one where the guy is diving for cover!

And yea, snails are awesome! :D Would be fun if a snail would come in every regiment box. ;)

No worries dictator. I am not giving up on trying anytime soon. I find sculpting to be hit or miss. Luckily I have more hits than misses. But I really don't think I have enough patience for sculpting. I rush through things instead of taking it one step at a time.

I am totally gonna ardcoat the body of the snail and then paint a long trail after it.... It's gonna be awsome. lol

Imagin if such things did come on every spru.

you could collect hundreds...

How fearsom would a snail swarm be!

though I guess it's probably one of the easiest things to sculpt in greenstuff. You could easily make your own. I just never even considered snails as part of the warhammer world. It makes me wonder what else I have been misssing.

I know you all want to see things painted. But I'm thinking that now I have all the components ready to finish what I started all those years ago, I should get everything built, converted and based before I continue painting.

Really looking forward to painting ghouls.

Really not looking forward to painting anymore zombies.

Well let's see those WIPs! I'm wondering what wonderful things you found up there in cranium!

Are you armoring your knights with the plastic or the metal ;)? What kind of arm will the wight king have? Will he be the bsb? I like the look still, look forward to seeing them painted.
