Yeeeeeees!

Right, now to somewhat ruin the hype train.

Here are the following risks and problems we might have.

1) Both Sega and Creative Assembly have pushed out some very crappy games as of late. They have been rushed, buggy and heavily filled with DLC.
2) There are only four factions within the game and while that sounds generous, it sadly also hints heavily towards a lot of post-release DLC spamm. There is no way they are going to keep Elves out of this game.
3) This is not exactly a bad point, but we don't really know much about this game! We do know they want to make a series out of this and while that sounds good on paper-...well, Sega.

I fully admit there is still time and we need to hear/see a lot more, but I am going to keep my hype on the low end for now x)

Edt: Edited to reduce factions from 5->4

Battle video!

I've been waiting for this day ever since Creative Assembly got the rights to make a WHFB game. I'm incredibly excited!

Like I now pointed out in the first post; there is no harm in being hopeful, but sadly the game might not be that great just because of who is handling it.

Why do you say that? If its Creative Assembly it should be fine, since a lot of the Total War series has been good...ok some such as Rome 2 have been total flops but ultimately I think it is worth getting our hopes up as at the very least it will be far more strategically in depth than the Dawn of War games...I hate that kind of RTS...but I expect it to at least be decent and interesting if nothing else.

Erh, Creative Assembly is pretty well known for releasing buggy games even in ze olden times and it has got just worse with Sega demanding quicker releases, more dlc's and so forth. Even if they had done a lot better in the past, I would not give them a free pass over what they have done lately and be quite worried over any other new game in development.

Mind you, this might just be me being negative and careful. When it comes to bad releases we have had some absolutely horrors lately (past few years). However I truly hope that they learned their lessons and we will get to enjoy Warhammer goodness.

Also before I forget, I was right the first time; four factions only at the start.

Missing the Elven hosts, but other than that this trailer looks awesome!

Of course a lot can go wrong, but Total War has quite a good reputation and GW wants a new/renew player base for their reboot, so lots of potential as well.

I have merged the two threads on the subject and moved it to the mortal's realm. We don't really have a space for video games here but this category makes the most sense.

On the subject, I am tentatively excited, I've never been too enthralled by a total war game in the past but just maybe the warhammer skin will win me over :P

So... I found this in BOLS

http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2015/04/total-war-warhammer-announced-by-sega.html

And right now I'll tell you how I've wanted to play a game of WHFB that contains Undead (because the last WOW-like rpg did NOT and that's why it failed! D: )

So.. I'll play the &%$# out of it when it is released!

Also... Mannfred!
If I'm allowed to recruit Lords, I'll summon him and send him to die, again and again for wrecking the 8th ed world.
